“Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so……

“Amazing as always.”

“We had a lovely break at River View Cottage.Even before we had arrived the hosts had reached out to us to welcome us to the property and ask if we had any requests they could help with.Entry to the property was a dream with fantastic clear instructions, the property was wonderfully clean, bright and warm ( very cold outside the weekend we visited). There was a beautiful welcome pack waiting for us upon entry and a concise set of notes for the house.River View gave us everything we needed to……

“Beautiful and well-appointed property. We were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Lovely details have been added to this renovation. The surrounding land, access to beach, and peacefulness added to the enjoyment of our stay. ”

“Lovely, comfortable cottage, beautifully dressed for Christmas. Great responsive and helpful host. We had a wonderful time.”

“The cottage was first class, clean, spotless and really comfortable. It offered really easy access to local holiday locations, we loved the wildlife and the lical farm animals”

“Beautiful little cottage with stunning views, host was friendly and easy to get in touch with. The space was family/dog friendly and clean with plenty of amenities. The only thing we were hoping for was a washing machine but we were able to do a couple of hand washes whilst we were there. Would recommend and would definitely return!”

“My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Cygnet Cottage, using it as a base to explore the Northumberland Coast and local area. This particular accommodation is ideal for a couple. The living area is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen equipment all worked fine and there was an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, and tools. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable with a decent, electric, shower. Upstairs was the bedroom with good storage facilities and a comfortable double bed……

“Lovely cottage, super clean and beautifully renovated. We really appreciated the crisps and dog treats :) Parking right outside was handy. Beautiful log burner for a cosy night. Beds were super comfy. My daughter loved the smart-tech in the bathroom showing how much her shower cost. A bit tricky with our 4-legged friends. Stairs too steep for our small dogs, but we barricaded the bottom with our suitcases ok. We were expecting a Deck/Patio as listed but its an open area down some stone steps,……

“Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent……

“Lovely dog friendly property in a beautiful location with views over to Holy Island. The owner had thoughtfully provided a telescope, which was much appreciated. The house was well equipped, with comfy beds and lounge seating. ”

“Beautiful cottage , very peaceful with great views . In a more remote setting away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, about 30 minutes drive from Alnwick to stock up with provisions.”

“The Granary is in a secluded location ideal for relaxing, the upstairs sitting room. Is very well equipped with a library of books lots of comfy seating options and plenty of dvds, videos and board games. The kitchen is well equipped and very comfortable, I particularly enjoyed the personal touches in the form of the artwork. We found the bedrooms spacious and spotlessly clean, the single mattresses are very firm. The bathroom is clean and the shower worked well. The hosts were friendly……

“Spent a great long weekend here. Cottage was lovely and cosy with great views of the sea. Really well equipped kitchen for cooking in however great places to eat a short walk away. Living room is lovely and cosy with the log burner and comfortable couches. Good supply of videos and books as well. Bedrooms were comfy and the shower over the bath had good pressure and lots of hot water available. Enclosed back and front garden which was great for the dog. Location is also ideal with under 10 min……
