The design of the house worked well for our family and friends, and we enjoyed the location and the proximity to the beach. However, there were quite a few things that were either very dirty or broken, and we felt the owner had not been on site to devote attention to these things. In particular the carpet inside the front door was badly stained and torn on the steps; there were broken chairs on the decks and at the pool (these could cause injury to guests); the slider from the lower level to the pool was filthy and very difficult to open; the wooden door out to the pool stuck badly and was difficult to open; the shower/bath on the lower level would not stay in either the shower or bath position; the towel bar in the other lower level bath was broken and hanging from the wall; and one of the coffee makers had a dangerously protruding piece of metal and did not work. It would be a good idea for the owners to fix these things before listing this property again.
