  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent home and location. Beautiful deck and sunsets!

It was a great friends get-a-way.Only suggestions are to leave tv directions for Roku and to be sure to clean and power wash the exterior of home. It was covered with spiders and cobwebs. Indoors was terrific. Outdoors needed to be broom cleaned in order to walk or sit down. Would return.

This house is AWESOME!! Beautiful view, plenty of space, lots of amenities. You can’t help but relax! Do NOT rent beach chairs, bikes or umbrellas! The owners graciously offer them!! The property management group told me no when I asked so I wasted 400 renting all of it. When I got there they had everything and more! They also have a trailer to help get to the beach. Would highly recommend staying here given all that is offered and how clean and comfortable the home is. I didn’t want to leave!!
