Just wonderful

The location was superb!!

The location was amazing, such an easy walk to the beach (even for my 2 year old) but felt as if we were in our private cove surrounded by trees. Such close proximity to the awesome park down the road, the lighthouse, and the 4x4 beach to see wild horses. The house was child friendly, kitchen fully stocked and the host was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. My family cannot wait to come back

Amazing Vacation!

The house was amazing! We loved it and it was great for our children and extended family. Right on the board walk for an easy walk to the beach. Our kids loved the pool. Julie was great to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location

Julie has a lovely property. It is clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect. The beach is a very short and easy walk. We rented bikes, learned to surf, and saw the wild horses. This property was close to everything but still peaceful. Don't hesitate to stay here.

Great place to stay

Location was great. Right next to the boardwalk to get to the beach. We used the beach chairs, umbrellas and beach cart. Was nice to not have to rent. Pool was wonderful. Kitchen was well stocked. Lots of spices to choose from. Loved the porch swing. I think it was everyone's favorite spot. Would definitely rent again.

Vacation in a Tree House

Julies property was a wonderful stay. Nestled in the trees, the 3rd floor seemed more like a stay in a tree house than at the beach. Do not be fooled though, a quick walk on the direct path to the ocean gives you the best of both worlds! Private swimming pool, comfortable beds, fully furnished kitchen made our vacation one of the bests we ever had!

Great Family Getaway

This property was amazing! It had everything we needed and more. We could not have asked for a better place. Make sure you rent bikes and ride all around. The lighthouse and places to eat is a mile away. Also, wild horses are a must see. The pool is great to jump in and get refreshed. We will stay again!

So Convenient!

The house was clean, the kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen in a beach house, and it was incredibly close to the beach. What more can you ask for? The kids loved the pool and moms loved everything else!

Discovered Gem!

The pictures of the house don’t do it justice! The house is beautiful, clean, has just about anything you need, and has a great layout! It’s secluded, but a few steps away from the access path to the beach. There’s plenty to do in the area, and the host (Julie) is great with providing information prior to check-in about places to eat and places to go. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Beautiful Home in Great Corolla Location

Perfect home for a group of 4-6 people. Walk to the beach was about 10 minutes and a well constructed walkway right by the house made it easy to get to. House was furnished beautifully, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including an amazing selection of spices. Pool was the BEST -- and we'll never rent another home without one! Thank you, Julie, for sharing your home and for all the suggestions you made to make our trip so memorable!

Great Location

The easy 2 block walk way to the beach right off the driveway is a giant plus for this property. The pool was clean and enjoyed by all. Wifi weak on 3rd floor (owner working on that). Been in rentals with better kitchen supplies--no starter paper towels, no dish towels, rags or sponge, no dish detergent--dishwasher pods were plentiful. House decor very tasteful. Owner responsive to questions while at property.

Clean, convenient, great Beach House for small groups with children

Convenient location to all area attractions. Very clean,open floor plan, great kitchen, several decks and porch swing were a plus. Clean pool, short walking distance to the beach. I was traveling with grandparents and my children. Everyone had a great time. Julie was very quick to respond to any questions I had. Only thing I would recommend is a gas grill and a railing for the pool stairs. Other than that perfect vacation house will be returning.

Such a GREAT vacation house!

This was an amazing vacation home! We have a family of 4 and my parents and all had plenty of room. We have 2 small children and both LOVED the bedrooms that seem to be decorated just for them. The walk to the beach was very manageable even with 2 small kids which was a relief and the beach cart that was provided made it even easier! The house was well stocked and had everything you could ever think of. Julie was great! She help me through some booking issues that we had and was extremely helpful during our stay. Very responsive! Look forward to staying here again soon!

Great location

We really enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Lots of things to do nearby. Julie was absolutely wonderful with response time to questions/concerns. The pool area was nice. We didn’t get to enjoy nearly as much as we wanted to due to the weather but the kids had no trouble jumping in. We did run into a few small problems(Julie fixed them rather quickly). I loved that laundry soap, dish soap, pots, pans, etc were provided. It saved us extra packing. Overall, we had a great stay!! Thanks Julie!

Cozy, Beautiful Beach Home!

If you're deciding whether to stay here or not, DO IT! This beach house is kept very clean, has beautiful decor, and everything you could possibly need! From a beach cart and toys, an ammmmazing pool area with fabulous/comforatble outdoor seating, to a kitchen loaded with everything (the spice drawer being my personal fav)! This house is up to date with a big TV, appliances, a skylight in the master bathroom, and when you walk out the door you can go right onto a walkway that leads straight to the beach! My family and I enjoyed everyday there! We'll definetly be back! Thanks for everything Julie! Beach love, Kris

Spacious, Clean, Convenient

This property was perfect for our family getaway to Corolla. We traveled with a family of 4 and grandparents. There was ample space and accommodations for everyone. Everything was provided. Having the washer and dryer was very convenient. The beach was just a short walk and the property included everything needed for the beach (wagon, carts, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas.) The property also has a nice sized pool which was good because the beach had red flags and we couldn’t swim in the ocean. The kids rooms are nice and have thoughtful touches that the kids were excited about (LEGOS in the boy’s room and plush sea creatures in the girl’s room). We also enjoyed reading the books available in their rooms. The property is mostly private for where it is located. It is also a short drive to some good restaurants, shopping, grocery store, arcade, etc. Lastly, the property owner was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This wonderful cottage exceeded our expectations!

The second we walked in, we felt a welcoming vibe. The decor was impeccable, truly fit for a beach house. Everything from the living areas, bedrooms, bedding, towels, kitchen, and kitchen supplies was clean and fresh. My daughter absolutely loved the room she slept in. It was perfect for any princess! The kitchen was conveniently stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, even a variety of spices! It was so inviting, that we didn’t want to leave the house! Going to the beach was so convenient with only a short enjoyable walk away! Julie has everything you need for the beach such as nice, comfortable chairs, toys, coolers, and a wagon to haul it all there and back! I tell you we were truly lucky to find this gem. We loved every second spent there, and we are already making plans to come back! My kids specifically asked to come back to the same house, and I completely agree!! Thank you Julie for making our first OBX experience a great one!

Overall beautiful house, beautiful location!

The house really is beautiful, specifically the upper level. The kitchen is very well stocked and the furniture in the living room is extremely comfortable. The master bedroom on the top floor is quite nice. There were no complaints about beds with maybe the exception of the bedroom with the two twins, they weren't the most comfortable but not horrible. The only thing worth perhaps a mention is the lack of a proper grill. My family and I vacation every year and do the majority of our own cooking. The grill provided is the old campsite metal pole, charcoal option and it sits down stairs next to the pool...right in the hot afternoon/evening sun. I felt like I was being cooked faster than the chicken! A gas grill on the upper deck would be a fantastic addition. Other than that, super short walk to the beach, amazing pool area!

Perfect for two families

We have stayed at Julie’s house the past 4 years and we keep coming back to it every summer because it’s just perfect. We have two boys and two girls between our families and the bedrooms they share are perfect. It’s a short walk to the beach or less than 10 min to drive on the beach in Carova. The pool is private and is a great set up to enjoy. The kitchen is stocked with anything you may need which we appreciate since we cook mostly every meal. Julie is incredibly responsive and just a delight to work with. We will be back again next summer!
