Corolla Beach Vilas: Amen Corner (CB43)

Overall we had a great visit and their were plenty of positives. However, the home was still being cleaned by 6pm so we couldn't get in until late. In general the property is nice but needs some tlc. The exterior is in need of a full paint, interior bulbs that cant be reached were out and the Property Mgt. Co while notified, never cam to fix them. Most exterior lights are out. The pool furniture is old and dingy. The hot tub wasn't cleaned and the cover so old that it's absorbed water and very difficult to open. The door from the ground floor to the pool cannot be opened as the frame is rotten and the door hangs crooked. There are no window treatments so the unit gets very bright and the AC struggles to keep up by the end of the day. GREAT location! Fix the negatives and we will be back! Thks!

Outside was dirty & lots of weeds, grill had no propane but last renters left utensils outside that were dirty. Inside couch was ripped & ice maker broken. Only had 2 beach chairs Over all property needs some TLC.

Great place for a beach/pool vacation

We loved our stay at Amen Corner. Our family of five had lots of space to spread out. This is a pet friendly property that did not smell of animals. There are two members of the family who have allergies to dogs and cats who did not have any allergic reactions to the place. Pros: Clean, easy access to the beach, nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs around it. Tastefully furnished. Good kitchen. Cons: Grill was very small. Slow internet. Kitchen could use a small frying pan and they were not exaggerating when they tell you to bring your own cleaning supplies. (There was nothing.) Booking process was the most confusing we have had with VRBO. After filling out VRBO's contract, we were then sent a contract and invoice from the local property management company that also asked for payment. Was very nervous I was going to end up paying twice but it all worked out in the end. Have no hesitation recommending to other families.
