Great space for a large group but could use a little TLC
The house was really great with a lots of space for multiple families. The ground floor game area and the associated bedrooms made a great hang out space for teens and pre-teens.
The main floor gathering space was open and airy with a nice family room. The sunrise shines right through and it's beautiful.
Pool area and was nice with outside showers and the back gate made cleaning up from the beach easy before going in the pool or house. The pool deck got a lot of shade which was nice for a break from the beach sunshine.
Use of the Corolla Light facilities and amenities is a nice feature and the small shopping, dining, and entertainment area within walking distance is a bonus.
A few nitpicks:
The main floor deck with the ADK chairs was really dirty with cobwebs, dead insects, debris, etc. It was difficult to enjoy that outside space with it being so dirty. Some the screw heads from the floorboards were broken off and laying on the deck creating a safety hazard. There was no porch swing as in the photos.
The carpeting (particularly the stairs) was fairly worn and stained.
The pool water was clear but the pool bottom needed to be vacuumed.
The property manager was responsive to a plumbing issue but it took a couple of days. They would not do anything about the dirty deck, insects, or cobwebs.
Overall, like the title says, it's a great house with a great layout but needs some attention
