We have stayed at lots of properties and never left a negative review...
During the initial arrival it was obvious the property wasn’t taken care of but we are low maintenance and didn’t really care...
the property had beer cans in the front bushes, the deck was covered in leaves and there were cobwebs everywhere outside.. we didn’t really care about this but I did wonder why they wouldn’t blow everything off in between uses... the inside was in ok condition minus the dirty clothes covered in baby powder in a draw...
That night the kids went swimming and did end up having splinters since the deck is so old and falling apart .. no big deal
The next morning we woke up to bees everywhere .. not just a few flying around but the entire yard was completely infested in large bees coming out of the ground.. I called the property managers and was told they don’t take care of bees and not to use the area they were in ... this ment you couldn’t use the yard, volleyball net or hose shoes ... at this point I was angry because part of the reason we booked this property was to use these amenities... i asked for a manager and received no help ... I also told them that the cornhole was missing the bags and she said that because it wasn’t listed in the amenities they wouldn’t give us some to use... at this point I was really angry and felt like the customer service was horrible.. I tried to explain that since we couldn’t use the other amenities because of the bees the least they could do is lend us some bags ...
Long story short after numerous calls they did come out to address the hives on the deck..when he came out I showed him the back yard covered in hundreds of bees he completely agreed it was unsafe and they need a professional out there ASAP.. he also did say that they had tons of cornhole bags right in the management company and ran those down to us ... not sure why if they had them a mile down the road she didn’t give them to us to begin with... the professionals never came during our visit so we were unable to use any of these amenities...
The deck is falling apart on the pool side... lots of weak rotting spots.... the railing on the side of the pool is totally loose and unsafe as your 20ft off the ground ..and the gate doesn’t lock so young kids can just push it open..
Bottom line is the customer service from brindley beach who I rented through was awful and the property is unsafe especially with young children...
