House is in an amazing location, i reached out to the host with some issues in the home and they took immediate action and sent someone to fix the problems. We had a fantastic week and would absolutely stay here again.

Great family spot

The beach, the pool, and the hot tub where our big draws, and we used them all, especially the beautiful beach here with the clearest water on the East Coast. The house was as advertised. Casual, a little rustic, but perfect for our family. Not a luxurious accommodation; if your taste runs more on the casual side, it should suit.

Disappointed in cleanliness and communications

My friends and I made a quick weekend trip from VA to NC with three of our dogs. I was expecting a pet friendly property to look pet friendly- maybe some dog hair and stains… but what we encountered was unacceptable. The first night: we noticed right away that none of the bedding was washed. The room with bunkbeds had crusty mucus all over sheets and pillow cases, even on one of the walls. The second night, we found more mucus stains in another downstairs bedroom. There was gum stuck to the windowsill and hair in the showers. We figured the property was owner-cleaned instead of professionally cleaned. Our time there was so short that we did not want to be put out for 4 hours while they corrected the situation. I notified them in the car on the way home, attaching photos, and was told they would get back to me. No response. I followed up when I noticed the pet fee was $19 dollars more than quoted, still no response.
