Best Quick Getaway

We had a wonderful time, the house was spacious and roomy. The open Kitchen, dining room and living room space was great for socialization and playing games with the whole family. We went as too families and had plenty of room. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time. The beach house was clean and ready. But them stairs will give a workout by the End of the week! So he ready for that.

Cozy space

We recently stayed for the 4th of July weekend. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back. House was great no issues no concerns property ppl were great and Owner was awesome. Very clean and very spacious lots of seating. And we absolutely loved the old time arcade game. 5 stars

2021 Summer Family Trip

Overall a great house. Perfect size for a group of 8 adults and three children. Only thing one of the upper bunks was not cleaned. Had sand in the bed.

Summer vacation

This was the perfect sized property for our group of 11. Loved the open kitchen/dining and living room areas which made it fun for entertaining. We also enjoyed that both master bedrooms had king sized beds and en suite bathrooms.

Excellent

The house was absolutely beautiful. Some how it looks way better in person than in the pictures. The beds were absolutely the most comfortable beds ever. Even, though, with bad weather we missed out on the beach in our trip, the house certainly made up for that.

Corpus Trip

Nice spot. Good access to beaches. Had everything we needed. Few things needed maintenance but still worked. Refrigerator, toilet, and ceiling fan.

Wonderful rental

We absolutely loved our house! It was spacious with an open living plan. It was close to the beach, we could get there in about 5 minutes. Port Aransas is a beautiful little town and everything that we needed was within minutes of our property. I highly recommend this home, we were disappointed when we tried booking for next year and it was taken. We were there for the historic Texas freeze, our management and home owners were there for us whenever we needed some help. Thank you for such an awesome home!!

Hurricane Hanna and Beach Closures

We had a great week despite Hurricane Hanna and the beach closure. The hurricane caused some businesses to lose power for a day, but we never lost power at the house. We made the best of it and had a great time playing games all day. The large kitchen, living room, and dining table were great for our party of nine. Parking was not a problem. We had four cars and a golf cart. We cooked a lot because of the hurricane. The one kitchen item that wasn't there that would have been nice is a whisk. I just used a fork, but a fork isn't ideal for making gravy, scrambled eggs, or waffles (I brought my waffle maker). There was a grill but we never used it. I was surprised that we had access to the garage and another outside closet area. Overall great place, would love to stay there again.

Great house with a few challenges

The house is new and in great shape for the most part but the basic amenities became an issue. Somehow the new house has some very old equipment.. Also grill ran out of propane - took the management company 2 days to replace it. We weren’t expecting it to to be so close to so many other houses. The subdivision pool is tiny - much smaller than it appeared in the pics. There’s a deck in front and back but both very small. A decent property but we won’t be returning.

Needs improvement

While we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent in Port Aransas & at the beach, we were pretty disappointed in this rental. Upon arrival, we quickly noticed that the cleanliness wasn’t up to our standards & I don’t believe that our standards are unreasonable. We’ve spent a lot of time in vacation rentals so we know what is to be expected. While unloading our luggage into the bedrooms, we spotted two dead cockroaches on the back bedroom floor. It was apparent that they are aware of the issue because we also found a black roach trap under the side table in the other bedroom. The wood flooring has no grout to seal between the planks so naturally there was all sorts of filth in between the cracks of the floors. Our feet were black from walking barefoot around the house. Unfortunately, even mopping wouldn’t fix that issue. The kitchen was very ill equipped. I wish we had brought a skillet & a Keurig (1995 called and wants it’s coffee pot back), it would have made breakfast for 12 people a whole lot easier. For the price we paid per night, you would think that at the very least, inexpensive things like salt, pepper & coffee filters would be provided. Several of the dishes, pots, pans, etc.. were dirty and had to be washed before they could be used. I had inquired about a grill before we arrived and was told that a gas grill was provided but when we went to cook our burgers, we realized that the propane was pretty much empty. The community pool was about the size of a glorified hot tub & it was very dirty. There was a house two doors down that came with it’s own private pool, fire pit & golf cart - we were shocked when we looked it up and realized that the cost for that rental would have been almost $100 less for the same amount of time that we spent at Casa Las Olas. Overall, none of these things were worth calling maintenance over or asking someone to fix during our stay. It is what it is & I decided to leave an honest review because I would have appreciated being able to read one prior to choosing this rental. It has the potential to be nice but needs several improvements.
