"This is in a stunningly well-restored old mill building right on the Kennebec River. The rooms are big and bright. The restoration's level of detail is incredible. And the Birtgarten next door is excellent. Highly recommend."

"This was a wonderfully clean and comfortable little motel that is obviously well cared for by the proprietor. We had a quiet moment drinking a refreshing beverage and listening to birdsong in the evening in their spacious, private back garden. Beds are comfortable and everything was spotless. Cant be beat for the price."

"I screwed up my reservation, and they helped accommodate me which was appreciated. We had two rooms for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything worked, beds were comfortable. No bugs and I would stay here again. Pool is closed off and won't be opening but this is not an issue for us. The only issue I had was the sign in the breakfast area that said we couldn't take the food to our rooms. I asked if I could take my food to my mother's room since she is 84 and was told yes. What I noticed is that everyone took their food to their rooms and ignored the sign. Would stay here again in the future."

"Very large house in very quiet neighborhood. Beds were extremely comfortable, we slept like rocks! Important to know: there is only one bathroom/toilet, which is on the ground floor. The stairs up to the bedrooms are very steep and small as the house is old; that's the way they built them back then. There is a handrail and a motion-sensor light that help a lot late at night, but this might be a challenge for some people and for people with small children. There are a lot of great kids' books there, though! We enjoyed our stay (only one night)."
