"This place superseded all of our expectations. Luxurious yet warm ambiance. The spa was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Venice. I only have good things to say. We will most definitely return. We loved it very very much."

"Very comfortable clean room in a great location, check in process was easy and no need to carry keys round with you. Sandra the host was lovely and responded to queries promptly. We paid for breakfast on the last day and it was great. The pool is very small on the roof and our planned pool day was scuppered by a poor weather day! The only thing that could be improved is wifi as it didn’t work in our room, fortunately we had working data."

"Very friendly and helpful staff, great bar and restaurant, excellent spa, indoor and outside pool options, great access to beach and boardwalk leading to Gaia and Espinho (two smaller cities south of Porto). Rooms also have great view. Very upscale. The only downside is that it’s about a 25 minute car ride to Porto, but the neighboring cities also offer a cool beach town experience (but definitely go to Porto). We would definitely return!"

"We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is beautiful and surrounded by trees/garden, clean, quiet, staff was great and conveniently located near Porto. The breakfast was delicious and had healthy options. They offered a free port tasting, which we didn't have time to try. I highly recommend this hotel."

Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel

"We loved everything about Tivoli Kopke - the location is perfect, quiet, but a short walk downhill to the bustling waterfront. The views of the river and bridge are great. The hotel is stylish, with fabulous art and architecture and the gardens and pool are heavenly. The food and drinks were all excellent. The spa is small, but the quality of treatments is high - especially the Indian Head Massage."

B&B Hotel Porto Gaia

"Google map link was not helpful when using rental car to locate the entrance to the hotel as front door faces into the square. There is no signs to indicate the hotel from the street when driving AND Google map directs you to wrong place. We ended up parking near by and walked to hotel front desk to get directions for parking! Don’t recommend checking-in after sunset if driving and first time at this hotel…. It took one hour of frustration to find the hotel after arriving successfully to Gaia and doing circles around the hotel!!!"
