“Stayed in a junior suite, spacious with a king bed and bunk beds. Large bathroom lots of amenities, shaving kit, dental packs etc. Excellent check in, very helpful staff. Thank you.”

“Very dirty and dated room. Carpets filthy and stained, poor decoration, damaged fittings and fixtures everywhere. Staff and restaurant excellent. Dont get a room near the gym as you can hear the weights slamming the floor from 6am. Breakfast was great.”

“The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive from the town. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the buffet breakfast was a great start to each day.”

“The Castle was everything we expected and more! The rooms were spacious, perfectly decorated and so comfortable! Would highly recommend to friends and family.”

“This B&B is FANTASTIC! Beautiful room, immaculately clean, wonderful hosts that went above and beyond, can’t be happier with the stay. Lovely breakfast in the morning, and great spot in Athlone.”

“Lovely room with all the facilities you'll need. Really liked the location and a big thank you to Gael the host, for her help. Thoroughly recommend it.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights on our recent tour of Ireland. Firstly, the location was gorgeous. The little stream at the back of the property created a perfect backdrop to the pretty 'little' cottage. It was very easy to find using satnav, and there was parking for at least 2 cars. We were given plenty of clear instructions by the owner, enabling us to gain entry. We found that the 'little' cottage wasn't so little at all. It was a well equipped 3 bedroom cottage, with everything you would need……

“Una was very warm and helpful. We enjoyed our visit to Ireland and it was so nice to have a 'base camp' so centrally located in which to do that. We would recommend the Weirs to anyone who wants a lovely place to stay.”
