“El hotel es grandioso, tiene vistas espectaculares y tiene un recinto histórico muy impresionante. El Staff es amable pero no el más servicial, ni muy funcionales, fuera de la gran calidad de hotel, el personal podría tener mejor actitud y buscar apoyar un poco más al huésped.”

“Property was in a good location. The bedroom decor was good - industrial style. Good size bathroom. There was never anyone on reception except when we checked in. The only staff member that we saw was the cleaner. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Carpet on the landing and stairs was threadbare. Toilet roll holder was broken.”

“A lovely hotel! The staff were very welcoming and always had a smile ! Room was very nice with two large double beds. No shower curtain in the bathroom which was a bit odd ( and messy ) but hey that’s just a small thing. Breakfast was incredible ! One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. Would love to go back and visit again”

“Attached restaurant & pub were very good. Ample off-street parking. All staff were excellent and even had a visit from the chef to our table after we commented how much we enjoyed our dinner.”

“Unfortunately we were allocated a room on the ground floor, sandwiched between a staff cleaning room and a meeting room. The safe did not work, the room looked out onto a rough area at the back of the hotel, staff wheeled rubbish outside the window every day creating a lot of noise. After our first night, we went out until 3.30pm leaving the sign on the door to say it was free for cleaning. When we returned and it had not been cleaned, we asked reception why and were informed staff are……

“Quite disappointed with our stay at the Strand. Outlets didn’t work, shower would leak and cover the whole bathroom floor, bed and pillows were quite uncomfy. There is barely anybody ever at the front desk, the front door was locked on multiple occasions and we had to wait around for somebody to come open it. We understand it’s a heritage building and we’re looking forward to the quirks that came with that but for the price paid - we were not happy.”

“Staff were really helpful and friendly. Be aware that breakfast is not in a restaurant but is placed on your mini fridge the night before, so no cooked breakfast. We had yoghurt granola and pastries delivered at 9am. Also a small plate of meat and cheese. Milk and water supplied. We had the twin bedroom, rather dark, but cosy and beds were comfy. Bathroom was good. A couple more hooks would be handy! Plenty of gated parking. Overall good.”

“Charming. Good breakfast. I walked from bus to hotel with my ROLLING suitcase. Over pebbles . Challenging. The heat never came on. No way to contact the owner. Staff was non- existing. And I was 40 minutes early for check in , he made me wait.”
