Farmstay in Coutances Mer et Bocage

"After reading some negative reviews we were not expecting the Gite to be very good. However, it exceeded our expectations. The Gite is old but very roomy and has everything we needed. It is in a quiet location and the hosts next door were quick to answer any questions we had. A few minor changes could make it a bit better...The shower should have been mounted to the wall as just having the shower head in your hand isn't ideal. Also maybe a photo of the front of the property from the road would be good as we struggled to find it and had to ask several neighbours where it could be. The pointer on the website actually points to another property further up the road. And the only clue we had was there was a key in the door. Which you can't see from the road and was hesitant to just open gates and walking around houses to find the correct one.I would stay again and recommend it to anyone staying in Normandy. Thanks"

"A surprise gem, slightly older hotel so unsure when we arrived but the staff are wonderful and the location is great, walkable (20mins down the hill and back up) to the town. A really pleasant stay."

"The host family was friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely, comfortable, and well-decorated space. A lot of thought went into the place. We had a lovely breakfast daily. The host was always available to everyone, even though they left you to rest and enjoy. The property is tranquil and peaceful, allowing you to relax. We are delighted and would gladly return; it's value for money. We loved having our French Bulldog, Triptan, stay with us. Thank You - Merci "

"A warm welcome awaited us upon arrival. The property, was as described however we were sorry to find that the sea view was now being built upon. Luckily the building work wasn’t too noisy and didn’t affect our enjoyment. Lovely comfortable beds. Lots of equipment within the property. Having the shade of the wooden structure in the back garden was welcome when very sunny and warm. The area in and around Agon-Coutainville is beautiful and people very friendly. Ideally for visiting the D Day beaches, memorials and museums and also Bayeux. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Lovely hosts."

"Our stay was perfectly fine. It was a little tighter spacewise than anticipated but we managed. Comfortable bed and good showering facility. Not much space to put anything and a bigger or another couple of towels would be an improvement. Staff were friendly and helpful and with their limited English and my limited French, we sorted everything!!"

"Excellent location just 2 minutes from the beautiful beach. Our room was spacious and very clean the a balcony overlooking the street and with a sea view. The morning sunrises were outstanding. The owners and staff are very friendly whilst remaining professional at all times. "
