“We were here on a whim. Really you are coming to this town to try amazing chocolate and taste excellent Cava. We also got to be part of a festival that it seems the entire town turns out for (check it out every 7-8 September (really 6-9th). You are not going to be at the hotel much. The hotel was basic and had everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful and the service was great! It’s simple, clean, and such a short walk to everywhere in town! “The staff was friendly. The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the city and hills at night. It seems they have multiple buildings with rooms. We were in the building attached to the reception. We appreciated the free parking in the nearby parking garage for our car. “Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s.
