“The whole hotel was very rundown and sad. It smelled like stale bar smoke. The room had hair on the bed along with worn out and sandpaper rough linens. The shower door was hanging off its track. There was mold in the corners and the carpet stunk. It felt like a you hostel more than a hotel. ”

“Large room for three adults, excellent Irish breasts the associated restaurant next door included - started at 9 when the restaurant opened but was ok as we used the time to go to the lighthouse on the peninsula about 25 km from Kilkee; plentiful free street parking in front - it's a one way street so no bad traffic, food options nearby, very close to the Kilkee cliff walk which is just awesome; the drawbacks were check in by 9 pm which was ok as we went out first day after overnight flight and……

“The BlackBerry Lodge is a very nice place to stay. It’s very convenient to get to the ferry and there are also plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. The rooms are spacious and each has its own private en suite. They offer a hot breakfast for an additional cost. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.”

“Review for Cashen Course House – September 2025 We had a lovely stay at Cashen Course House in Ballybunion. The location is perfect — quiet but still close to the town and golf course. The room was spotless, and everything was well maintained, which made for a really comfortable stay. Having on-site parking was a big plus, especially after driving around the countryside.
