Cozy and spacious
We love the big windows and wood stove, spacious kitchen, and kids’ space in the basement. It’s special to have a beautiful cabin that is also dog-friendly. Owners are responsive. Kitchen is well-stocked. Convenient location: just 10-15 min drive to willamette pass.

Great place in the mountains
The home is very nice, well laid out and well stocked with all of the essentials in the kitchen (lots of pots, pans, utensils, etc.). It was perfect for two couples, and I can imagine it would work well with kids too.

Great Location
This is our second stay at the beautiful home. So many summer activities for the kids it is a good choice. The home needs a deep cleaning. There is thick dust on the upper window sills, dust is hanging off the fan blades, along with the table light shades. Spider webs hanging everywhere. Easily remedied...and then I'd give a 5 star. Make sure to check out Salt Creek Falls and Crescent Lake. Beautiful.

Nice stay near Crater Lake
The place was very clean and beautiful with a great view and exactly as advertised. It's only about 45 minutes from the north entrance of Crater Lake National Park and close to numerous hiking trails in the National Forest. The owners were great to deal with and all the instructions were clearly stated. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and the loft with a bathroom upstairs. The other bedroom is in the basement, which is a walkout, but it is on the lower level, so it has a little bit of that basement feel. The place was stocked with everything we needed but be prepared because it is out there and there are no really good stores close by. The little store in town does not have much.

Crescent Lake Lodge
The house works well for our three small families. We enjoy being in the mountains, near a ski area, in a nice cozy lodge setting. The driveway is a bit steep but functions as a fabulous sledding hill. We hope to keep coming back every February.

We love the mountain feel of a wood stove and a wall of windows overlooking the mountains. I love the kid-friendly basement that is separate from the kitchen/living room. Very comfortable space just 15 minutes from willamette pass

Beautiful retreat
My family rented this cabin in the woods for 3 nights. Nice to have 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. Nicely decorated with woodsy charm. Updated kitchen with everything you need. We used the wood burning fireplace every night which was great. The stars at night were so beautiful. The deck with a view of the mountains and Aspens was awesome. About a 50 minute drive to Crater Lake. Not a lot of places to eat but Manley in Crescent Junction has delicious broasted chicken and food truck in Chemult had tasty Mexican.

The pictures initially won us over, but actually being there was even better. Great location, great set up, quality throughout the home, quick responses from the host and we got to spend a wonderful week as a family. I would return in a heartbeat. And Crescent Lake was super close and probably the best lake we’ve been to. :)

Mountain cabin with stunning views
A comfortable, well equipped cabin within easy distance of lakes and mountain trails. If you come in the summer, bring beach equipment! The deck area is the selling point! We followed the shade around during the day and enjoyed the picturesque mountain views. Some small maintenance issues prevented this from being a full 5 star review.

The property is great and the host is very responsive. But the cleaners can do a better job. There was hair on the linen and lots of pet hair on the carpet. I encourage the host to review the cleanliness from time to time.

Christmas getaway!
Our family booked this beautiful cabin for a Christmas family vacation. The property did not disappoint! We were lucky enough to arrive the day of a big snowstorm & everything was covered in white. The home is beautiful, spacious, and the views from the living room amazing. There was lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The wood burning fireplace added to the cozy ambience of this mountain retreat. The kitchen had everything we needed and made it easy to prepare our meals. We found some sleds in the garage, and the steep driveway was perfect for our own private sledding hill! The town is only a few minutes away, and has a little store if you forget anything. My family & I had such a wonderful time here. The morning of our check out, the skies were bright blue, and you could see the hills across in the distance, breathtaking, it definitely was hard for all of us to end our perfect family getaway!

Beautiful house, centrally located
We were 8-strong and lived like kings. Jon and Maryam left firewood and starter next to the fireplace, enough towels for days, soap and cookware. They recommended so many great places to visit. The balcony or loft already had great views of the mountains. Just taking in the crisp morning air was worth the entire price of admission. We were only about an hour away from 7 completely different natural wonders. A must visit was Crescent Lake, which was snowing when we went. The waterfalls in the wooded areas in Crescent Lake were stunning. Umpqua Hot Springs we’re cool! Bend, OR is just a quick drive away with lots of cool casual restaurants, shops, and ice caves! The hiking trails there were beautiful. John promised life-long memories. We definitely got those. 5 stars!

I have never travelled to rural Oregon before but seeing Crater Lake was a bucket list item for me. The entire area was like stepping back in time for me, no restaurants or groceries and no cell service to amount to anything. This amazing house was my saving grace. The beds were comfortable, nice quality linens, the first rental house I have ever had that had decent cooking pans, amazingly unexpected sunsets, beautiful furnishings and tons of space. There were only four of us but the house could accommodate so much more. I also want to mention the owners had amazing communication with me. We had some wifi issues and they even called the phone company to make sure things were working for us. They sent check in information early and were very welcoming. Salt Creek Falls was so very close and worth the trip to see, even with kids and we were surprised how much we liked the beach area at Crescent Lake.

Lovely, clean, comfortable, roomy cabin in a great location with beautiful views. Highly, highly recommend! As the owners indicate, the internet is very spotty because of the remote location but it was nice to have everyone connecting with each other rather than their phones.

Fantastic secluded getaway with plenty of outdoor activities nearby
We stayed in late June and really enjoyed our peaceful time here. The cabin is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond (in our case we couldn't get the shower going... pull the ring down on the nozzle of the tub faucet to get the shower flowing). We really enjoyed the gorgeous views and well-equipped home. Our favorite activities while here was Waldo Lake (about 30 mins away) and the fire trail back, Crater Lake (about 60 mins away), and the Lava River Cave in Newberry National Monument (about 60 minutes away).

Spring Break Cabin
The cabin was beautiful and everything was beyond our expectations. We came for relaxing getaway and to do some snowboarding at Willamette Pass. It's location is so close to the ski resort we went back the next day. We had fun playing games and going for snowy walks. Our dogs loved the snow too! The fireplace keeps the cabin warm and cozy. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Wow, what a great place to spend a long weekend with the family! The cabin is very modern in styling/amenities and we couldn’t get over the views to the south and west of the Cascade Range. We loved having the central air heat to keep the pressure off building a fire for the main source of heat after a multiple hour drive. The kid/game room on the bottom floor, enabled the main area to be open and quiet for the adults—a huge plus. Additionally, the sunsets and sunrises on the large deck were amazing and complimented with a super easy to operate gas fire pit to help keep the chill at bay. The location is a very short drive from Willamette Pass Ski Area (~15 minutes) and is a great spot for children to be introduced to skiing. We will definitely try and stay here in the future!

Our family had wonderful Christmas at this beautiful mountain home! We were greeted with the gorgeous Mountain View f rom the living room bank of windows! Everything w e needed for a comfortable stay was provided...kitchenware, linens, towels, all the comforts of home, even a Christmas tree! The house was very clean, tastefully furnished, and inviting. We have stayed in serval VrBO properties and this is one of the best...would love to come back!

PERFECT COZY AND BEAUTIFUL HOME
WOW! We just loved this cozy and beautiful home. Walking in the door I immediately appreciated the craftsmanship here. The living room is totally inspiring, with the high ceiling and amazing mountain views. It feels so much larger than 2200 sq ft. It was a real treat sitting in a comfy armchair with a cup of hot coffee, my favorite read, and watching the rising sun light up the peaks out the window. With the fire in the stove I could sit there all day long. But of course we didn't. We drove a few minutes to a Sno Park across from Willamette Pass ski area and snowshoed on a wonderful, flat trail to Bechtel shelter. Really nice. We scoped out Odell lake on the way back; promising summer destination. The kitchen was gorgeous, and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. I liked the many personal touches, like the themes in the different rooms: skiing, fishing, autumn, bears. The drive from Beaverton was easier than I expected. I am a moderately slow driver, and I think it was just over 3hr from 217 and I5. Hwy 58 was especially beautiful, and a nice intro to the weekend. The only problem I can think of is I may be disappointed the next time I stay in a different house in this price range closer to home! I feel spoiled. Highly recommended.

OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE
Our entire family of 5 stayed during the week of Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The cabin has a great layout and for a winter experience it was always comfortable inside. The wood stove added great atmosphere and warmth during the colder nights. For outside experience, we really enjoyed the main level veranda and the fire table. We are a family that cooks and enjoyed using the really nice kitchen. The only suggestion we could offer is that a few more serving dishes would be a great addition to the kitchen. Also, we spent a little time in the downstairs entertainment room and found it a bit dated. There was a tube TV and video cassettes that did not play too well. Internet was spotty at times and TV reception was affected by the quality of satellite reception. However, this is a mountain location and such occurrences should be expected. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely consider a return to create more memories.

Stan, Thanks for the kind review. We really appreciated you and your family staying in our cabin for Thanksgiving! We also really appreciate your feedback. It sounds like you enjoyed the main living room upstairs, the bedrooms, and the kitchen, as well as the deck. We will replace the VCR in the downstairs living room. We have tracked and tweaked it before, but it sounds like that didn't stick. Time for a new one! As for the internet (sigh), while we've purchased the highest-speed satellite internet package available for the area, we have found that it does occasionally cut out at times. We had a tech install and configure the dish for optimal performance, but there's only so much you can do on the mountain. We are glad your overall experience was pleasant, and we hope to see you again next year! Maryam and John Mark

What a great place
We made our way up to the house in the dark and while snowing. Our host HIGHLY recommended tire chains or 4wd. They were not kidding. Driveway is pretty steep and slippery when snowy. I play offroad all of the time. But someone inexperienced, heed their warning. The house was amazing. Easy access to unload everything. Even had a garage to store stuff in while it melted. Highly recommend.
