Hi Natalie! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate the feedback. I'm sorry that the room was uncomfortably hot, I note that you were in a streetside room which heat up in the sun a lot more than the other rooms at the back and side of the hotel. Typically we reinstall our AC units in all rooms around May long when have more consistently warm weather. We are looking at having the windows replaced which will include screens for the windows in every room. In the meantime we are considering reinstalling our AC units early to keep guests like yourlelf comfortable. I have made a note in your guest file about the noise you experienced, and I'm happy to book you in a room with no upstairs neighbors at the back of the hotel should you choose to stay with us again. We had limited availability during your stay so the room with 2 double beds that you were in was all we had available to accomodate you under the circumstances.Thank you again for sharing your feedback, we hope you'll give us another try in the future so you can experience a quiet and comfortable stay at the Uptowner!

Hi Marie! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feeback about the Uptowner. We are certainly getting things organized as far as renos go - the exterior is in process, but we're so glad you found the inside of the hotel and your room to be inviting and comfortable. We are at a strange time of year when some days are cold, and others are quite warm, but we have removed the AC units from the rooms in order to prepare for cooler weather going forward; hence the room being on the warm side, sorry about that! Our plumber is currently working on getting the jets going in the hot tub again, but for the time being it is warm and clean, and we have the dry sauna working as well. By the next time you're here we will have made further improvements, looking forward to seeing you again!

Hi Jason,I'm very sorry to hear that you weren't able to get a restful sleep. Our quiet time at the hotel is 10:00PM, however when large groups book the hotel for hockey tournaments etc. they may at times come back later in the evening. We really appreciate your honest feedback and hope that you'll try us again in the future. If you ever have any issues like this in the future we encourage you to phone the front desk at any hour to help resolve noise complaints.

While we don't offer bar soap we do have individual shower gels for guests at no cost.
