"We had a beautiful stay. This property had absolutely everything we could have wanted for a quiet getaway. From the brand new construction to the small details like quality fans in every room, it felt so welcoming and relaxing. The two bedrooms are also on opposite ends of the house, so there is plenty of space not to hear someone, even if they are the loudest snorer! I loved the seating in the back with a spectacular view, though I would definitely suggest NOT using the little fire pit! It really should not be there- the whole valley is a tinderbox and often has a total fire ban. I hope the owners consider removing that for everyone's safety. I also loved how close it was to the Ashram. I will definitely be staying here the next time I need a retreat."

"This place had amazing views and was just what we were looking for to use as a short stay on our way home from the Ouray area and to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park before leaving Colorado back to Wisconsin. The owner answered all questions both leading up to the trip, and while staying at the house. Be prepared, there is not much of anything in the area for shops or food, but there is a dollar general 20 minutes away and a great place for food named "Food is art". They treated my family of 7 wonderfully! Walmart and other major places are about an hour away. The great sand dunes were about an hour away as well, but Crestone was the closest area with rental homes and we were not disappointed. One more tip... DO NOT WEAR SANDLES TO THE DUNES. Wear shoes and socks. The sand was hot! But so worth the trip!"

"Quick stay, but we loved that it was off the beaten path. Super clean. No AC, so warmer than we’re used to, but I knew that going in. Only surprise was the sheer number of mosquitos. Wow. But we used bug spray and moved along (and obviously that’s just nature and the season, certainly not a knock on the property). Would definitely recommend as a home base to explore the valley. "

"We stayed for three nights with our two kids, 4 and 6 y/o. It's a great house, beautifully decorated. I LOVE all of the plants. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, baking sheets, coffee grinder etc. The outdoor spaces are nice as well, although I'll admit that there were sooo many mosquitoes/bugs all day that we really couldn't use it. No AC, but it worked fine as long as we closed windows in the morning and opened them as soon as we could in the evening. Fans in the windows helped as well. The property owner was responsive via text when we had questions. FYI, there is an automatic damage protection fee that gets added that I don't recall encountering for other VRBOs, so I found that odd. But it was still a great find and we enjoyed it. Sand dunes are an hour away, and the alligator park is about 30 minutes away. Would recommend!"

"We were only here for a short time and wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was a cozy space with all the amenities described. My favorite part was stepping outside in the middle of the night to see the brilliant stars. The homemade paintings in the space were a great touch :)"

"Absolutely gorgeous location to appreciate the stars from the hot tub! Loved making smores after using the grill. The game room was great after a long day at the dunes for the little ones. Coffee set up is amazing for the adults. Would love to come back!"

"We wanted to visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park. This was about a 45 minute drive. It was perfect. We also enjoyed exploring the town of Creststone. The home was clean, roomy, and very comfortable. "

"Nice big house, plenty of room for two families!Note—the kitchen is upstairs! Be ready to carry that cooler up a long flight of stairs….It is an hour to Great Sand Dunes, and almost that to most SLV locations. "

"I was overall impressed with this space. It was very clean, including the hot tub, which is not always the case when you’re renting so I really appreciated that. The location and view of the mountains is to die for I loved how the house was set up in a way that you’re always looking out a window at the mountain no matter what room you’re in. It really created the perfect birthday weekend for me and my friends! Highly recommend "
