Fridge was small. No microwave. Stayed at 135$ room in Ashburton, 165$ room in Greymouth, both had larger fridges, Greymouth one had microwave. Wanted to warm up Pizza, had to eat it cold. Other than that, stay was good. The shower was fantastic! Loved the air conditioning.

one thing you should look at if there are 3 people in the room booked to stay how come there was only two of everything like cups glasses tea spoons there should be 3 of everything thanks

Cleanliness 10/ 10. Comfortable beds. heated electrical pad on the mattress. 35 minute walk to downtown. 10 min walk to train station. Pleasant receptionist. Functional kitchenette, but basic. Tiny fridge. New beautiful bathroom. no Netflix but cable TV. New carpet and no bad smells They have king bedrooms with one king bed. They have twin bedrooms with 2 double beds and these rooms are large. They have king bedrooms with an extra twin bed. Some bedrooms on the ground floor, and some you have to climb stairs. You can request extra beds to some of the rooms.

Good affordable place to stay
Stayed one night as a quick stop over before carrying on with rest of trip. Simple room, nice patio, great restaurant to eat at. Only downside was the bed mattress - I felt like I was sinking, not too comfortable for me. Everything was only minutes away. Lovely service from front desk.

Very nice hotel with a clean room and friendlhy staff. The courtyard is beautiful and we ate at the restaurants next to the hotel for dinner and breakfast, and they were both very good. The only thing we were not fond of is the type of shower they have. It's hard to take a shower without getting the whole bathroom floor wet.

Very large, well appointed room, lovely balcony. Bathroom upgrades are apparently coming soon. The room was extremely clean and the staff wonderfully helpful.

It’s been a great place. We’ve had the balcony, great views and all. My only concern was the people were allowed to smoke in the balcony, thus the smoke comes through our room. Otherwise, everything’s been good. The room is comfortable and clean.

We spent a very nice weekend in Cromwell at the Harvest Hotel. I have previously stayed there when it was known as the Golden Gate - now the complex is called the Gate, the hotel has been renamed. The rooms have been renovated very well. The bathroom design is essentially the same as the "old days" (the 80's, maybe) and are a bit odd. The Gate includes a cafe, restaurant, and tourist information centre. The whole place is just across the road from the main shopping complex. There is also an easy walking route (just be careful crossing the road) to Wooing Tree vineyard - recommended for a tasting. There was frost both mornings, but we did not notice until we looked outside. Our unit was upstairs with wonderful views of the mountains - and the chance to sit outside in the Sun. The internet worked well. On checkout I went to pay with a credit card, and an extra fee was applied (2%). This is, disappointingly, common in Australia and now New Zealand. But it really should be announced, not just slipped into the final bill!

This hotel was good value for money on a weekend where Queenstown cheap accommodation was fully booked out! The staff were very helpful & friendly & made the stay as easy as possible for us. The room was very adequate with good views, did notice some wear & tear in the bathroom below the bath though. Was a bit disappointed we couldn't get a meal in the hotel next door as it was booked out although I understand that it is a separate entity. Overall very satisfied & would recommend to any others.

We had a short but nice stay. The location is close to cafes etc and has a view toward the lake and mountains. The rom we had for 3 was very spacious and comfortable.
