Friendly front desk all shifts. Newer place, no coffee gor guests yet in tge a.m. But they say they soon will. Being honest, it is not the quietest place with a center court arrangement open to all floors, and often times it seems almost like vehicles are driving through the room/ sound insulation is not good. Steep, long stairs to climb- not a problem for me but will be for some.
No me gusto que el primer dia me dieron una avitacion que no tenia nada que ver con las fotos del anuncio ,pero luego de un reclamo me dieron una mejor avitacion
We so enjoyed our stay and will return. The restaurant provided simple, but very tasty food. They have done a lot of renovations and it shows. They do need someone to decorate the rooms to make it more cheerful. Also could add another chair or two in each room. The staff was fantastic. The location is one of the best in Cuenca. We enjoyed our stay.
Nos ha gustado mucho. Muy bien situado. Limpio y bonito.
The Hotel Flore Boutique is a really nice hotel located right in the center of historic Cuenca. The staff is friendly and thoughtful. My room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast provided was very good at their Florento Cafe downstairs. I highly reccomend this spot for your stay in Cuenca.
Pros - convenient location in the heart of Cuenca's historic center, clean rooms, reliable wifi
CONS- not really greeted at all by front desk who checked us in by showing us a room and leaving us there without the room key or any information about wifi or breakfast. We had to ask multiple times for enough pillows and towels to use. There was no blow dryer and no where to hang towels in the bathroom. The phone wasn't working and when I asked about it to the front desk they said "that happens sometimes". The worst part of this whole experience was that this hotel clearly states that it has luggage storage on hotels.com but when i asked to store by backpack the front desk told me they did NOT have a luggage room but that I could "store" my bag in the front desk, with no security. I had relied on that description to store my things while I walked around the city and ended up having to carry my things around. Disappointing customer service.
Overall did not have a pleasant experience here and will not be returning to this "hotel".
We booked two floor Family Studio Suite but while arrived they put us in one room orphean home like room with 4 beds. We booked different room. Stuff reception was realy unwilling to understand that we payed for a different room type and much more. Room was really cold, without heating at all. Half renovated and ongoing works. Breakfast was really economy type. Not a nice experience.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. The only complaints were that it was tricky to find because there was no street signage (had to walk in the front entrance to see it) and it was surprisingly noisy, with some kind of machine kicking in-and-out periodically and street noise. The way it's laid out with an interior court yard and no real access to the front road other than the suites facing it or the front entrance, we thought it would've been quieter. Great location, service, showers, beds, and breakfast though. It'd be tough to find a better place in Cuenca!
The hotel sent a taxi to the airport to pick us up. They offered it without me even asking. The room was comfortable and very clean. There were a few odd noises - water dripping in another room and a sound that might have been a washing machine somewhere but it didn't bother us a lot. The staff was very accommodating with suggestions of what to see, giving us bottled water and there is a laundry service.
The location is fantastic, right in the old town and behind the largest cathedral. There's a new cafe adjacent to the hotel and if you're a guest you get a free continental breakfast. This seemed to be brand new and they're still working out the staffing but by the time we left things were running smoothly.
This is an excellent place to stay and Cuenca is a beautiful city. Highly recommended!
The room was on the top floor (75 stairs) and there was no elevator. Due to my recent knee surgery, I was unable to climb the stairs, having to leave early. Also there is no heat, cooling, or air ventilation in the room. The room had a very small window and the internet was horrible.
This is a relatively new hotel (about 3 months old) so everything has been refurbished. It's a perfect location right by the main square and across from the lovely flower market. In fact, if given the opportunity, there is a beautiful terrace at the top of the hotel (if no one is in the apartment) that you may request to see for incredible views (a little secret). The couple who own the hotel are very helpful with recommendations etc. A couple notes: because the hotel is right next to the main cathedral, the bells will ring throughout the day, including at 7am... so don't plan to sleep in. Also, the hotel doesn't have their own breakfast yet (will soon) so they offer you a simple breakfast at a cafe around the corner. It was a good breakfast... but be sure to clarify what is included on the hotel coupon/voucher (just break/coffee/juice from what we could tell). Also, the higher you go in the hotel, the weaker the wifi signal. Just fyi. Otherwise, the cafe will overcharge you. But this is a great quality hotel, especially for the views, location, and price. Highly recommend.
Well managed hotel in a location that couldn't be more central. It's brand new but in a historic building with a beautiful atrium. Many rooms have extra high ceilings and very nice town views. Showers and bathrooms are modern and convenient.
This building was completely renovated 2-3 years ago due to a devastating fire, per friends. As a result, the interior is virtually brand new and appears relatively modern. Unfortunately, the renovated space is poorly designed--for example, in my tiny bathroom there were no shelves for toiletries or even soap, the shower door opened inward and was impossible to turn on without getting wet; and the shower leaked buckets due to poorly sealed joints. The earlier room I occupied ( I asked for a change) was huge but incredibly noisy (traffic church bells next door at 6:45 am). Another concern was the "free breakfast" advertised on the website, about which the staff knew nothing and was not provided. On the other hand, positives included very friendly, accommodating staff and great location for walking, eating and sightseeing. Overall, I would not recommend staying here due to the discomfort described above.
