Place was great

Love being there. The house was big and very clean. I will say it may be time to invest in some new mattresses. That would be my only critique. We enjoyed the quiet and peace. We will be back.

Fun trip

We loved the location and had a wonderful vacation. The house was like staying in a decent hotel. Advertised as having been recently updated. Updates were not really high quality. Many things including appliances, carpeting, paint, furniture, and ceilings show signs of wear and tear. The deck and house really need to be pressure washed or it can be slippery. We didnt mind the condition of the property. But it is all about the location. Which is fantastic.

Nasty neighbors and no response from property manager

The house has a great location. Plenty of space for our group. However, we could hear the neighbors who rented the 2 houses beside us. They were loud and vulgar and we asked them to quiet down. They said they were trying to enjoy their vacation well we were too, but their language was peppered with the F word. We had our 7 year old granddaughter with us and couldn’t enjoy sitting outside. We called Railey Vacation to let them know but never received a call back. If the house wasn’t so close to the other houses I would rent again but the neighbors were too close and too loud. I couldn’t wait to go back home. .

Nice winter hideaway

We enjoyed staying here. We arrived with snow on the ground and enjoyed walking around the lake, and then trips out to the state parks. All wheel drive is a must for the driveway (or we did it with chains on our front-wheel drive SUV). House is nice, loved the fireplace, enjoyed the pool table. The dishwasher wasn't working when we showed up, but they sent someone out to fix it. Overall, we'd definitely go back.

Functional, but a little worn down

The layout of the house is great for large groups and you really get a lot of space for your dollar - especially in the winter. The open concept kitchen is ideal for feeding people and participating in the fun and the pool table is great. You can't beat the location and the house has it's own dock. It's located to several small stores that are amazingly well stocked and have incredibly convenient hours. The house could stand to have a little care. It needs several fresh coats of paint inside and smells a little bit of mold. All of the sheets were incredibly scratchy - I would have rather have brought my own and wish they had just said that in the description. That combo made sleeping not the best, but it was worth it for a quiet getaway and a white Christmas.
