Great Lake House!

Anniversary celebration

The home was clean and well stocked. We were able to find several things to use that we had forgotten. The coffee and hot cocoa were much appreciated! The neighborhood was quiet. We all enjoyed using the provided kayaks and paddleboat.

Amazing stay on the lake

Our family had a great time at this property. It had everything we needed for a fun, family vacation. Rooms were nice with plenty of beds for our family of five. Kitchen was great with everything we needed. We enjoyed the canoes, paddleboard and dock. We caught several fish from the dock and even more when we rented a pontoon boat for a day. The owner answered a couple questions and provided some local tips. Everything was great!

Better than I had hoped

Had my buddy’s bachelor party get away here for the weekend. The lake was amazing. Water felt great. I love the town of Lone Star. Very quiet and chill. The neighbors were really nice. If you want a beer go check out Iron Bluff Saloon. The best food around has to be Mug Shots in Dangerfield. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this spot and would 100% come back.

Fantastic lake house

My husband I stayed four nights in May 2024. The property is really nice. The deck has great views of the sunrise and the hammock swing is so relaxing to sit in and read a book. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need and more. There are kayaks, a paddle board, indoor and outdoor games. One afternoon it was raining so we played monopoly which was fun! I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family and I hope to return again someday.

Clean place nice appliances

Fishing was not good. Property was a nice getaway with lots of wildlife. Forgot to lock my vehichle but neighborhood seemed safe noone bothered us. The onsite cat loved us and spent the whole day on the porch. House was well equipped and even had some fiod stocked as well as toiletries. I would stay again.

Birthday/Anniversary weekend getaway

My husband, his 2 sisters, and a brother-in-law escaped to the lake and had a blast! This property is great; we loved all there was to do on the lake (especially the paddle board) and the games in the backyard. We couldn't find a can opener... but that didn't stop a whole lot of fun! Thank you for sharing with us! :)

All you need in one spot

This place was really nice. I Especially like the modern day utilities. I was able to play music from the smart refrigerator not only was board games provided but the touch screen game system eliminated game pieces and game rules confusion for easy play. There was a beautiful night scene with clear skies and stars and the moon reflecting off the waterfront. I only had a party of five and this place comfortably accommodated us when sleeping. Although I did not personally use the kayak and paddle boat, my family had fun using them. 5 stars easily.

Lone Star Retreat

A real little gem of a house on Ellison Creek Reservoir which is a beautiful clear water lake near Dangerfield. We recently spent the weekend there with our kids and grandkids for some fishing, playing and relaxation. Very impressed with the condition of the house and property which had recently been remodeled and updated with modern appliances. Plenty of room for our family of 7. The kids enjoyed the use of the kayak and paddle board in the protected cove and fishing off of the dock. The back yard was spacious and safe for the kids. One real bonus for this house not to be overlooked is that its sits on the west side of the lake and catches the morning sun and afternoon shade. Very important, especially in the heat of the summer.

It was a beautiful and peaceful property, hope next time we can just hang out there and enjoy relaxing dockside, instead of the driving back n forth to Daingerfield state park.
