If it was not Commencement Weekend in Dallas with our 8 family members I would have cancelled for cause and gone elsewhere. It will be longtime before I can live down my poor selection with my family. Upon arrival the dirt front yard is adorned by two hay bales. The front door threshold is lying a few feet away unattached. The air conditioning was off and the house had strong stench of mold. Then there was a banging in the ceiling an animal of some kind. Outside you could see where someone installed chicken wire around opening to block such trespassers. The next day we encountered the red squirrel coming and going. The space was not cleaned well and in a state of disrepair. Eventually the AC cooled , though then we noticed the ceiling had large leaking water blisters in the stucco. Clearly the condensation from the ac is not draining but accumulating in the ceiling. There was no bedding for pull out couch so one of our guests checked into a motel. There was only a few threadbare towels and mismatched face cloth or two. No soap or shampoos except one half empty bottle of Pert. No paper towels . So we went to Target and bought items that should of been supplied. Two of the three bedrooms had no lights. And with the dark grey it was a challenge seeing. Thankfully the beds were comfortable and there was good hot water pressure. I could go on, but I am happy to be gone. There was no previous reviews even though VRBO said there were recent stays.
