A Dauphin Island house nestled in the trees with large sand dunes between the house and the Gulf of Mexico. This is a quiet street on the west end of the Island near the public beach.

It has 2 Bedrooms: #1 with a king size bed and #2 with two twin beds. One bath with a large garden tub and a separate shower. TV's and DVD's are in each bedroom and living room.

A full Kitchen,with granite counter tops, separate dining area, and a living room. Sliding glass doors open to a large balcony with room for grilling or dining.

We are licensed with the 'Town of Dauphin Island' and the State of Alabama.

A great place to relax

We really enjoyed the laid back pace of the island. The house was in a quiet neighborhood. All amenities needed were available. The walk to the beach was short and easy.

Great Location!

The house is in a great location. Close to 2 restaurants & beaches. The house was very accommodating. The bed slept wonderful, and the porch swing was great place to relax. I would definitely stay there again.

Dauphin Island stay

The property was described. Beautiful house. Just right for the two of us and our small dog. Everything needed was available in house. Very comfortable. If any future visits we know to bring groceries with us as very expensive in the local shops. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great spot for a beach hideaway

Clean and comfortable property. Great patio for bird watching and lounging. Be aware that there is a separate rental property in the backyard. We were planning to let our small dog use the fenced in yard, but the other people staying there had a large dog, so we were unable to do so.

The property was perfect, had everything we needed and then some. We just were not aware/prepared that there was not really a grocery store there on the island. What they had was super pricey and not a lot of option. Overall would stay there again, just be a bit more prepared.

Great location. Awesome covered porch and plenty of room.

Convenient location on the island .Large fenced in yard but there is another house in the fenced in area and they had dogs also. We spent a lot of time on the large covered porch .The house was spacious. They kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. We contacted our host about the wifi password and she replied back quickly.

Charming, comfortable, convenient

This house is the perfect distance from everything, close enough to be convenient to beaches, shopping, and restaurants, and tucked back into the little neighborhood just far enough to be quiet and peaceful. It is exactly as shown in the pictures and while I stayed with just my two small dogs, you could easily and comfortably accommodate a family and children in this home. Check in and out was simple, the house was well cleaned and stocked on my arrival so I was able to relax and settle in immediately. I come to Dauphin Island with my dogs frequently for the dog friendly beaches and it is always a lovely stay.

Clean, needs updates

My husband and 2 dogs enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, but needs a lot of updating. The bedrooms stay very warm even though the a/c is working fine. We slept with the bedroom door open to try to have more air flow and it didn't help. Also the mosquitoes are horrid. Can't even use the patio without being eaten alive. All in all we had a great time though. Thanks for letting us bring the dogs!

First trip to Dauphin Island

The other reviews gave me a accurate expectation of the property. I was not expecting the island to be how it was. If you enjoy beaches filled with people, lots of traffic and locals giving you the cold shoulder then stay away from Dauphin Island. We found we could walk to almost everything and only saw a few cars on our street the whole week. We ventured down the beach where the bay meets the gulf and saw only five people there the entire day. Everyone was helpful and had a good attitude. Life here is slow paced however we found entertainment such as mini-golf, jet skis, and places to explore. Joy does provide a good bargain and I hope to be able to stay here again.

First time at Dauphin Island

The house is centrally located and secluded. Minimal traffic and very little noise (except some construction work on nearby houses during the week). The house is perfect for 2 people and is pet friendly. The yard has a fence but it is falling down in some places. Unless you have an off-leash trained dog, I would recommend keeping them on a long line to go potty. My husband enjoyed hanging out on the porch in the chair. Stairs are a little hard if you have mobility issues, but they are manageable. If you're just looking for a place to stay and don't care about the fancy frilly stuff, this place is ideal. We didn't need to pay extra for fancy stuff like at other places. The house fit our needs well and I would recommend staying there again.
