The house was nice and fit our party of 11. Plenty of space for us to spread out. Big kitchen for all of us. It was nice to have a grill to cook outside. House is a close walk to the beach.

The house was perfect for our family. We loved that it was far enough down the island that we had easy access to the bay and the gulf sides. The house was decorated perfectly. The beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful home. Peaceful location

We enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room for our group and the kids loved the bunk bed room. It was a great location with access to beach on both sides of the island. It is close to the park with extensive undeveloped beach at the end of the island. We will stay here again if we are in the area!

Beautiful home!

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. It was just my husband and I but the house would definitely be comfortable for 10-15 people, or more. We will definitely be back to enjoy the beautiful island but will be better prepared next time. Obviously not an issue with the house; however, I was not prepared at all for the mosquitos and biting flies!!

Overall excellent house. Very clean and very private. Only suggestion is for the outside deck- the provided plastic chairs are very cheap and uncomfortable - also the hanging swing shown in listing no longer there. For a house this nice more appropriate deck furniture should be purchased Would come back again if that is updated

Beautiful location and house

The house feels like you have some privacy, as other houses are not as close as many in the area. It was large enough for our big group of teens, and within walking distance of the beach. The bay side has advantages when the gulf aide is too rough to be in the water. It would be a comfortable place for family reunions with five bedrooms and large common area. The large deck on the back was a favorite place to hang out. Sunrise and sunset were on gorgeous from that location.

Immaculately Gorgeous and Clean house

We absolutely loved staying here! The house has 360 views all around. You could see the ocean from one side of the house and the bay from the other. We walked down the stairs of the house and the shore was right there where the kids can swim. The house was very roomy with ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was fully stocked with whatever we needed. Clean appliances and clean refrigerator. Everything looked brand new. Would definitely stay here again!

The first thing I did was get stuck in the sand, and I had to be towed out. The driver said they sure need more gravel on the driveway. It looks as if the right side has washed away. Anyway, the floor is warped, and there is paint missing on the window sill and cabinets. I say this because I don't wish to be dinged for damages. Overall, we had a great time. The home is lovely, and dishes, towels, etc were all plentiful. I would rent it again if the driveway were fixed and there was no swing

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. A few things that would be helpful for future visitors: another step on the back deck stairs; there wasn’t enough dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags for 15 people for 4 days. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that there would be 1 roll of towels, 3 dishwasher tablets, 2 trash bags and 8 toilet paper rolls so we could have brought more with us. A few cosmetic things like door stoppers missing, light fixture globe missing, non working ice maker.

Wonderful home, but false advertising!

The house was great! It had all the amenities you would need like kitchen gadgets, towels, washer/dryer. The issue I had with this listing is it claims to be “beachfront” which is not accurate at all. It’s “bay front” with a small laughable beach. The gulf front (actual) beach across the street is also VERY small. There is public beach access not far from the listing. The reason I booked the listing was because I thought we could walk out the door and onto the beach which wasn’t the case. It was more difficult with small children not being directly on the beach. Dauphin island is wonderful and we will be back to the island!

Enjoyed our stay

Great location on the sound side! Beautiful sunrise and sunset views and a quick walk to the gulf. Love the back porch- a favorite feature of the house. Sadly, biting flies and jellyfish were pretty bad during our stay. Bring some extra blankets if you like to cuddle up on the couch. We couldn’t find any throw blankets. Cousins loved piling into the huge bunk room! So fun. Be careful of the last step off the back of the house. It’s a drop off and could use one more step. Also the kitchen light over the island hangs low so you’ll knock your head on it during meal prep and words may fly! Ha! Could use raising a few inches. House is clean, comfortable and in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our family stay and appreciated being able to bring our pups along for the trip!

Spacious, new home-good for groups

We really enjoyed the great room at the center of the house, and wide doors going onto the deck overlooking the bay. Multiple tables and gathering areas made it easy for kids, adults, young adults to have space but still be together. The kitchen is stocked with the basics. This house is across the street from the ocean, but is an easy walk. We hung out a little on the bay side "beach", but there were many dead jellyfish, so no one was interested in swimming there. We did enjoy a lot of time sitting on the large deck looking out over the bay. It was much calmer on that side of the house (the ocean side was incredibly windy), and very peaceful. We brought a stand hammock and there was plenty of room on the back deck so it got used quite a bit, as did the extra large outdoor dining area. The house was clean, and the furnishings are new (but not high end) so it was comfortable and easy. Overall, it was just what we were looking for!
