The dictionary tells us that a lodge is a place where one-or in this case 18-come to rest. BINGO! This fantastic 8 bedroom home provides the convenience of slope side skiing on Timberline Mountains Winterset Trail. Love it!! Year-round Lost River Lodge offers comfortable accommodations. Perfect for a family or friend reunion, enjoy well thought out amenities that include multiple TV’s, WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace and more! Professional or amateur astronomers will love spending part of the evening in the outdoor hot tub. It’s a short drive to Blackwater Falls, Thomas, and Davis. For sure this one is a win/win!

Great space but very tired home

This home needs a good deep cleaning, blinds are dusty, table trestle is dusty, the kitchen floor needs refinishing, baking cookware is worn out, all light switches are dirty, outside stairs and railing needs refinishing, light bulbs are out, water pressure on upstairs showers are weak and as for heat and a/c downstairs is really really cold, upstairs is really hot and main floor has closest to the correct temperature. That being said, it is well furnished, has multiple coffee pots, plenty of dishes and silverware, wonderful gas stove, two refrigerators and although the kitchen refrigerator ice maker is broken, the laundry room fridge’s ice maker works. Bed linens were nice. I think a good addition would be to provide liquid shower soap in every shower rather than little soaps. Same with hand soap, liquid soap—it would not make such a mess as the little soaps do. As a former VRBO owner of a big house in Lake Tahoe that slept 25, I found going spring and fall for the “big clean” helped keep the maintenance issues under control. Also, for the price paid, I think two rolls of toilet paper is cheap and two rolls of paper towels also. I never made my guests have to pay for paper products or shower soap. This was a family wedding event that turned out to be two hours away from the house. We liked being all together.

Spacious. We enjoyed hot tub and air hockey. House is dated and needs work -leaks paint and not many paper products provided. (Example napkins, trash bags and hand soaps) but clean and beautiful location.

Perfect place for our family

We had 17 guests and everyone was comfortable! We loved the large community space where we could all hang out at night. Hot tub was great, location was awesome as some of us hiked to the top of the mountain every morning! Staff was very responsive for garbage pick up and hot tub shocking regularly.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay. The kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub was wonderful. The house was so sound proof that I couldn’t hear the neighbors huge party. Would definitely recommend.

4th of July Family Weekend

The cabin was spacious and accommodated or group of 13 very well. Every family had their own bathroom and bedroom with Queen or king beds. Our grandson loved having his own room with two twins. There is plenty of space to spread everyone out but space for family times was nice too. The outside deck and hot tub were enjoyed by all. We had a fire in the fire pit and the family enjoyed that as well. The kitchen had everything we needed for our family meals. The only improvement that needs to be addressed is the outdoor grilling situation. The gas grill would not light and the charcoal grill has seen it’s better days. All in all it was the perfect house for our family. It’s so close to the darling towns of Thomas and Davis and Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley Resort. This is our second summer in the area and there is do much to see and do!

Best Summer Weekend!

This property was clean, spacious, and well taken care of. There was toilet paper, linens, and cleaning supplies available. The location was easy to get to. You are close to the neighbors, and there isn't much of a yard. There is an amazing porch/deck and an awesome giant couch and dining room table. The listing says 18 people, but we decided that at least 24 people could comfortably stay there if needed.
