“The Finnley is more an Air B&B than hotel. Excellent location, easy access, and felt private. The room was very well decorated feeling like a loft apartment. The bed was comfy. The only recommendations I would give to the property manager would be to provide more towels and a larger trash or a suggested place to take trash. A note: there is no parking at this hotel. The parking garage across the street cost us an additional $48 per night.”

“Our stay was Friday and Saturday night. The hotel was very clean, newly updated, centrally located, and had a comfortable bed. Our room was street view and it was very noisy all night long, bring earplugs or a white noise machine if you are a light sleeper. We choose to utilize the free street parking after 7pm on Friday through Sunday (ask the front desk which streets it applies to). I would stay again but request a room without street view.”

“This was definitely a unique experience and was perfect for a quick visit to Grand Rapids for a work trip. You can walk to shops, amenities are all around, I was 4 minutes from the office and street parking was free and abundant. This was very similar to an Airbnb experience, self check-in and out without the list of tasks to do. The room was clean, bathroom was clean and the room had adequate supplies and a steamer, which was super convenient. It’s great if you need a quiet place to stay……

“Staff was very helpful but understaffed. Place seems old, but basically clean. Had 4 night stay, asked for a cleaning and due to a confusion it wasn't done until the 3rd day, so needed to call for towels. Breakfast was minimal but complimented, restaurant wasn't open yet, being renovated.”

“The staff were great. The place was modern and very clean. For being so new I expected a closet and an iron, which the room did not have. I made due. I also expected housekeeping for being there three nights. I saw nothing about no housekeeping. I saw a sign about reusing towels, which we did. On the last day I had to go down to request more toilet paper. The hot water is a problem. I love the green initiative but having to let the water run for 10 minutes to get warm water and have it on full……

“Clean, friendly reception & good location if you are going Ada. Great looking hotel with functional downsides. The flooring, doors & lobby area restaurant are quite loud unfortunately. Seemed to be no soundproofing between rooms. Earplugs may be helpful. Only slow EV chargers so pack your patience & plan accordingly for those who need that.”
