Mr Steele was great as a host. He made sure he accommodated everything we needed for our stay. Definitely a great getaway location. Many things to do on property to be entertained. Definitely booking again when I’m in town.
Mr. Bob was very easy to communicate with. I do wish that we had known ahead of time that there is little to no phone service there and no wifi. It is also in the middle of nowhere which we enjoyed, however, was so secluded that we had to drive about 30 minutes just to go to the nearest grocery store. The roads to it are also just gravel/dirt roads that were extremely muddy after the rain, we had a truck and an hatchback with us and the hatchback would not have made it down the road after the rain. Extremely pet friendly, he even had dog bowls there! Kitchen is well equipped and easy to use, I really appreciate that beforehand he went and bought new utensils for us! The camper could’ve been a bit cleaner but nothing crazy, the beds were clean and that’s really all that mattered to us. We really enjoyed spending our time outside with our dog and playing pool in the barn. We did encounter a very friendly deer which we later learned from the neighbors the community has named him Fred. Do not be scared through he acted like a big dog and really enjoyed playing with our dog in the yard. The yard has many lights for at night and a nice fire pit as well! The dam nearby had been opened so there wasn’t much water we tried to fish but didn’t see anything. We stayed for the races which was about an hour drive but wasn’t too bad at all!
