New Year's mini vacay

We had a great time at this very spacious and awesome location property. Kids had fun at the play room.House is big and everyone had their own space and bathroom. Super close to Belleayre Mountain. We would love to go back in the summer time.

Family weekend gathering

We had a great time at “the pond” We spent a beautiful day out in the yard playing games and around the bonfire. The bright foliage on the mountain reflecting off the water was spectacular. The house was super spacious, conveniently located near Plattekill Mt and Margaretville village. We all enjoyed our stay.

Labor Day weekend

Beautiful house, gorgeous property, everything was clean and in working condition. The host was extremely accommodating and informative. Could not have asked for a better way to celebrate the end of summer. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

70th celebration and beautiful memories

From 2 years old thru 70. 16 family members stayed together, comfortably, in this great spacious house. 10 minutes to ski mountains. Plenty of stores, small towns within short driving distance. Property very pretty- would be great any time of year. Big kitchen- loads of fun cooking together. Sitting in the large comfortable livingroom in front of a roaring fire. All Beds SO comfortable. Game room, sauna, play areas for the kids. Lots of love, lots of laughs, lots of fellowship- shared by us all. A wonderful host too. Couldn’t do enough for us.

Great communication but property needs work

We rented this property largely because of all of the 5 ratings. Not sure who the previous ratings were done by perhaps friends, but it is definitely not a 5. I will start with some of the very good aspects - excellent communication from the owner. Area is beautiful. Large open spaces for a bigger group. Now the "needs improvement" aspects - Repairs needed to windows (not allowed to open many windows because they are not working right and this was in July!), balcony is labeled as unsafe and cannot be accessed, one bathroom has a note not to use it, bathrooms and kitchen are dated - which is not the end of the world but wish we had an accurate review ahead of time, we probably would have chosen differently. The lack of air conditioning was a challenge in summer (to be fair, we knew it wasn't air conditioned, we didn't know windows didn't work), the oven definitely had something wrong - it took hours to bake cookies that normally would have been done in under an hour - I don't think it was holding temperature). One of the master bedroom doors doesn't work right. It was musty - but got better when we were able to open some windows. Pool table is rough and pool cues don't have tips. We bought a new pool cue. (Pool table was one of the big reasons we chose the property). Advertised corn hole but there wasn't any - need to update advertisement. Probably would be a better winter rental than summer. In short - - it doesn't seem that general repairs are done or updating has been done.

Beautiful mountain home

The property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. Me and a large group of friends stayed here to attend a nearby wedding. The layout of the home and the many bedrooms and bathrooms made it perfect for a large group. Jason was very easy to communicate with and even provided us with a lot of information about the area which was lovely. Would definitely recommend and would love to return!

Hi Jason, the place was great. My only complaint was that the grill took some serious cleaning before we could use it. It looked like a squirrel or something had taken up residence in it since there was a big grass next jammed into the bottom of the grill. However, once we cleaned the grass and the decaying grime under it out, the grill worked fine. It wasn't a big problem (other than the fact that whatever was in there messed with the top grill rack so it wouldn't stay on), just thought I should mention so you can watch out for squirrels making their home in there in the future. thanks

Bridal Bliss

I stayed here for my wedding with my bridesmaids and could not recommend this house more! It was incredibly clean and spacious, with many amenities. We loved the pond, the game room, and the outdoor spaces that made for a wonderful group trip. I highly recommend this property and would love to come again!

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay! I was immediately impressed by all the detailed info our host gave us about things to do near by and details about the house. We loved the fire pit, it was great that wood was provided. The kitchen was stocked with great little things like coffee tea, spices etc. This was great since our stay was short so it made it so much more convenient for us. Big open rooms for hanging out in groups which was wonderful. Enjoyed sitting by the pond. The views were gorgeous. Loved seeing the frogs in the mini pond in the front as well. We saw baby deer it was a great getaway. We went shopping in Margaritaville nearby, which had plenty of cute shops . Wonderful stay!

Beautiful surroundings

The house is spacious and clean. The pond was a miracle and a high bonus to enjoy. The terrace/ deck very nice and good to enjoy looking at the pond. The only note for the owner would be to update the pans and pots because even many enough most are scratched and hard to use. Thank you for renting your house!

Absolute serenity

My family of 10 adults and 2 kids rented The Pond for a short 3 nights 4 days getaway. Place was clean and well kept on our arrival. The outside campfire site and stream are a nice touch! Also, the view of the pond and mountain behind it is just absolutely gorgeous. We took tons of pictures for keepsake. There were plenty of bathrooms and space for us to spread out and play. Whole family had their turn on the foosball table and pool table. We had a blast and would definitely come back another time. It was great because the location was very private and we even spotted deer and rabbits which the kids loved.

Fantastic property

We stayed here for four weeks. The lakefront property was ideal to relax and commune with nature. Views are stunning. We had visits from wild turkeys, a woodchuck and, on our last day, a fawn was born outside the kitchen window. WiFi was terrific so we could work. The rooms were spacious. Loved having a pool table. This place has it all and Jason was the best host! Thank you again, Amy

Love this house! Great owner

We rented this house for the ski season and couldn't be more pleased. It was well appointed, convenient and the owner Jason was extremely responsive to any questions. They even welcomed us with a lovely bottle of wine. Definitely recommend this house!

Best owner I have ever dealt with

I stayed here for New Years Eve weekend and if I could give bonus stars in this review, I would. I was slightly concerned based on the newness of the property to the site and the lack of reviews, but man am I glad that I pulled the trigger. The attention to detail and responsiveness that Jason provided was second to none. I have rented many houses over the years and this has hands down been my best experience. Not to mention, the house is ENORMOUS and inviting. The game room, the sauna, all the bathrooms you could ever hope for, multiple living rooms, what a great time. I would stay here again and this was the perfect start to the new year for me and my large group. Thanks again Jason!

Great Thanksgiving stay!

We've had a great time with friends and kids this Thanksgiving. Cold weather brought some snow, so we had fun outside, playing with the kids on the yard and doing snowtubing in mountains. Sauna is really good addition, it's not something you can find in most of the rental houses. Owner is very thoughtful, towels, linen, and lots of other minor things - everything is taken care of.
