This stay was fabulous. The layout and proximity to everything was wonderful. There are many little extras in the kitchen, family room, etc. Great for a family, two couples, or friends. So close to Boiler Bay and Fogerty State Park. If you are thinking about a trip to Depoe Bay. This is a great choice.

Whale Watching

We did not go to the coast to watch whales, but this very quiet, spacious, and open condo afforded great views of the many whales that were blowing and breaching.Excellent location south of Lincoln City and north of Newport makes Depoe Bay an excellent town in which tube base your travels.

What a rare opportunity to stay in a beautiful private condo overlooking the ocean. We saw a gray whale directly below the condo. It was well maintained and nicely stocked. I hope to return soon!

Perfect getaway!

Condo was perfect! I have stayed at several units in this complex and this is my favorite so far! Since it is a corner unit allows for more views of the huge crashing waves that I was able lucky to have the entire week.

We really enjoyed our stay at Captains Choice. The location was great, centrally located between Lincoln City and Newport. The views from the living space and deck are amazing. We saw whales every day, sometimes close enough to hear them spout! The place is as described. Photos were accurate. It was cozy and comfortable. The only downside was the deck. It has a partial wall that is shared with the next condo. The chairs are the cheap plastic ones. The hosts were great to work with. Very responsive. We did not experience any problems with the condo or the hosts. We would definitely stay here again!

quiet getaway

my daughter and i needed a getaway where we could relax a binge on seafood, perfect kitchen well supplied for cooking. nearby newport had good seafood market on docks. agent kept us informed via phone. we didn’t find the onsite mgr but didn’t need them. quiet friendly neighbors. great storm watching! interior dated but comfy. thx for sharing with us!

Beautiful views

Beautiful views, very clean, comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. Had a great stay. Only issue was when I tapped on the link for directions in the confirm email it took me to some random house in depoe bay. Figured it out by name of the building and putting that into gps.

Beautiful Condo

The Condo was perfect for enjoying the wild winter ocean. Appreciated the nautical details the owners have provided. In front of the fireplace was the best place to observe the spectacular waves.

Great Stay!

The condo was very nice with a great view and an elevator was a plus being on the 2nd floor. Kitchen was very well stocked with needs for cooking. Only drawback was the fine print with the management in them requiring change of dates when they have "dead nights" when you think you have a reservation for your dates. Renters need to be aware. Made reservations more stressful.

Breathtaking View + Whales

When we walked in the views took my breath away! The unit is very comfortable, kitchen is well-stocked, beds are comfortable, great showers, and spacious. We had planned to take a boat excursion to see the whales, but then we realized that we were able to see them right from our balcony and also from inside the unit! We used the clubhouse that has a pool table, swimming pool, workout room and jacuzzi. So many great hikes nearby!! We recommend this unit! I miss waking up to the views, but will have all of my photos & great memories with my family!

Wonderful Place To Stay!

Everything about this place is very nice. The ocean view is amazing! The accommodations are very very nice. Kitchen is well stocked with a few spices and plenty of pots/pans. We cooked two dinners during our four night stay and we very much enjoyed the kitchen functionality. Beds are comfortable. The couple traveling with us has mobility issues so having a working elevator to the second floor was very nice and having a walk in shower for them was perfect. Furniture in the living room was comfortable. Everything about this place is very nice!My only issue is soon after making our reservation online, I received a confirmation. Great! I inform the family members who are traveling with us. We start making plans. Then sometime afterwards I was informed that no, we can't have those dates. Although we could have canceled at that time, we chose to change our dates (of course for more ). Be aware.
