Derby Cabin
We had so much fun staying here. The views were beautiful and serene, our boys loved fishing and playing catch to pass the time. We needed a place close enough to Louisville, KY so our boys could attend the National Archery competition. We were able to bring our fur babies, relax and enjoy. We also caught a show of the northern lights all overlooking the river! Hoping to be able to come back in years to come!!

2nd time here. An awesome place to watch the world float by on the Ohio River. Everything you need for your stay. Great communication with the owner. Lots of fires at the fire pit. It will be a destination spot for us. Thanks Andrew! And, your dad is awesome too!

Perfect quiet getaway
We loved our stay here! Everything was clean and the view from the back porch was amazing. Loved watching the barges go by. I loved how it was pet friendly. Our dog loved the stay as much as we did. We will definitely be back.

Great getaway
The cabin was beautiful and very thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need. The bed I slept in was very comfortable. The view from the back porch was gorgeous and very peaceful. I'll definitely come again for another stay!

January on the Ohio
We chose Derby Time mostly because of the cleanliness ratings. It didn’t disappoint. Secondly, we were slightly concerned about getting snowed in in January. This house is very close to the road. No snow, but we would not have gotten stuck! The property was as beautiful as the sunrises! The barges loaded with coal passing by was a joy. We’d love to stay again. Thank-you. We appreciate your attention to detail.

We loved our stay at Derby Time cabin. Was beautiful inside with an amazing large deck. The views of the Ohio river were awesome and the setup for our little doggie was wonderful. We hope to go back next year. Loved it!

Amazing
The property was so beautiful I came on a rainy/cloudy weekend and the views were still beautiful. I loved the whole set up of the cabin specially since it was dog friendly the fenced it yard was the main reason that I was convinced to book. My experience was great and even though it was a long drive I will definitely be coming back in the future I recommend anyone who’s thinking of booking to go for it you won’t be disappointed!

Cabin Getaway
Absolutely loved this cabin and the location! The river scenery is beautiful. I am a teacher and this cabin was the perfect place for my husband and I to enjoy fall break. The pictures do not capture the serene and peaceful natural environment surrounding the cabin. The star gazing is awe inspiring at night. The owner ensures that the cabin is equipped with anything that you may forget and even provides firewood. We enjoyed dinner outside at the Derby Tavern and everyone in the small town was friendly and accommodating. We plan on returning soon!

First time staying close to the river. Did not disappoint!
We picked this place on a whim to get away for the weekend. Husband and I enjoyed the location and the views. Several things to do within about an hour from the cabin but we enjoyed just relaxing on the deck and doing nothing compared to our normal every day lives. Had everything you would need to cook inside or grill outside, general store had anything else you might be missing. If you want a variety of foods, bring your own or stop on the way. Would be great spot for fishing. We didn't bring our pups this time but they would have loved it too.

Make Time for Derby Time!
Derby Time is a great cottage located near a bend in the Ohio River, with magnificent views. We loved the covered porch, and our dog, Stella, really enjoyed the pet ramp and yard. The cabin was spotless, and the kitchen had all we needed to prepare our 35th anniversary meal for two. We loved watching the pusher boats and barges. Derby Tavern has a great smash burger, and we enjoyed lunch at The Post in Tell City, as well. With all the history in the area, Derby Time is well worth your time. The best part was being able to truly relax at this comfy cabin. We can't wait to come back in other seasons! Thank you, Andrew, for making Derby Time available! You're a fabulous host!!

Girls Get Away
First of all the view was beautiful and the location was very peaceful. The cabin was very beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has everything you need for your stay. Loved the porch very big and perfect for relaxing and watching the view of the river. Andrew was very easy to contact and he got back with us immediately with any concerns. His father had to come by for a lock issue and took care of it promptly. Very sweet man. Only negative I would have is that it is a little difficult to get down to the dock. Thank you for allowing us to use your cabin Andrew. We had a great time and hope to come back again in the future.

this was the best cabin we have stayed in on the river. it was spotless and had high end furnishings and kitchen equipment. we had a wonderful time. we went fishing, loved sitting on the deck. we will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. The property was exactly as listed and had everything we needed and more. The owner was very nice to supply wood for the fire pit. We loved seeing the river and watching barges. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. It was hard to leave after 2 nights. Would love to go back!

This was a great well organized cabin. I done things I hadn’t done in 20 years. Fishing, bon fire, grilling were just some on the things offered at this cabin and small town. The host was easy accessible He even gave us a heads up of a Columbus Replica Ship passing by. Our little dog enjoyed his new adventure also. I highly recommend this location.

Very clean and the floor plan was well suited for bigger parties. The porch was incredible and allowed for very relaxing outside time. Will definitely be going back! So happy to be able to take my larger, well behaved dogs with me. They were even calmer than normal!

Perfect spring retreat
The Derby cottage was just what we needed after a long winter. We found a welcoming and peaceful retreat awash in the colors of spring. The place and property offered more than we had expected. Sunrise over the river, wide windows that let the outdoors in, many thoughtful extras around the house, distant cow calls at night, and amazing ice cream just down the street. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent cabin on lake beautiful scenery, inside of cabin beautiful and updated. Very peaceful and relaxing just what we both needed I would suggest tv in bedrooms is all. What a great place to spend the holiday weekend. From the moment we stepped through the door, we fell in love with the cabin. It was spotlessly clean, roomy, and very well appointed. Our host had provided so many amenities…there were items provided that we don’t even have in our own home. The 75” big screen was perfect for watching bowl games from the super comfy recliner, and the views of the river were amazing. While in the area, we visited Marengo Cave and hiked several of the local trails. It was a fantastic weekend and we look forward to a return visit this summer!!

Peaceful Getaway!
Adorable cabin on the expansive Ohio River with big, beautiful yard and deck to enjoy the scenery! Pictures accurate but do not show how spacious and comfortable the cabin is. Immaculate. Super equipped kitchen. Host shows attention to detail! We used his firepit, games and binoculars. Stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend, and comfortably cooked a full feast. Enjoyed the covered, wrap-around porch even during a rain storm. Fished off the dock, and plan to return with a boat next summer. Watched barges push by and eagles soar overhead. Dogs loved the fenced run. The men enjoyed the large-screen TV for a big sports weekend. Strongly recommend Derby Time Riverside Cabin. Great location for site seeing with Civil War history sites nearby, French Lick or Santa Clause, Indiana. Host was super friendly and engaging. He was reachable, however, the thoroughness of his preparation deemed that unnecessary.
