Pearl of Destiny

We thought the house was a perfect size for our group however it was lacking in a few amenities. There needs to be plastic glasses, etc. to utilize around the pool. Also, the door code had to be reset a few times because it stopped working. The pool person let us know there was a leak in the pool and the heat was inconsistent. The garage door stopped working at one point and maintenance had to come over. The curtains were falling down in the main floor bedroom. And painting wasn't complete in the guest house where curtain rods and towel rods were replaced. It worked ok for our group but I probably wouldn't rent this place again.

Most amazing place I have ever stayed.

Its was Clean, big, lots of amenities. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops. The clubhouse pool was beautiful. The private pool was so convenient. So much space for everything. Comfortable and relaxing, would definately book again!

Fabulous time in Destin

Our family vacation in Destin East was a huge hit with the entire family! Our proximity to the beach, the spacious living areas and built in pool were fabulous! We were slightly disappointed in the “tired” conditions in the property, not all of appliances worked properly and furniture was in less than ideal condition.

Great Family Get Away

The property was just as pictured (except the size of the pool is a bit tinier than it looks) Very clean. There was plenty of room for all eleven of us! Plenty of sleeping space. And plenty of room to get to yourself when needed. The kitchen could use a bit of updating on items, but it was still great! We enjoyed our week, just wished we had been able to book longer!

Great place to stay and great location!

The house was beautiful and in a great location. Great amenities however we felt constantly targeted by an employee. The community was not friendly to vacationers. I made a complaint but did not receive a response.

Great space!

Our stay was amazing! We had 15 people total- 7 of which were children. The home itself had more space than expected and everyone was surprised at area of individual space/rooms/beds. However the best part was that there was large areas where we all could gather and spend time together. The house was located in a cul de sac on a quiet street. It was not far from the beach or from our favorite restaurant. The golf carts were great and provided a faster/easier/more fun way to get around.

One handicapped toilet downstairs would have been a luxury for the aged vacationers. The toilets were extremely low and hard to get on and up from.

Better Than Expected

The pictures don’t do this home justice even though they look great. In person is even better. Absolutely loved everything except the toilet paper that was a step down from gas station TP as if that is possible. Otherwise we loved the spacious kitchen with its large fridge, two ovens, two sinks, two dishwashers and independent ice maker (super convenient). The living room is spacious and comfortable to relax and recover from a day at the beach. Also enjoyable was the whole house sound system. Loved this stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a nice an beautiful house. Plenty of room for all our guests. The upstairs did seem to get a little hot at times and we were not able to adjust the AC lower due to the AC unit freeze issue. We used the grill one night and it made the guest house smell like gas for hours- probably due to the grill not being turned on for a while. The golf carts were very handy and we loved the surround sound music in the house and in the pool area. Would stay again.

Perfect Pearl

It provided everything we could possibly need and then some. The two golf carts were awesome to drive around the neighborhood and to the beach which is just a quick ride away. The pool was used everyday including the days “Alberto” showered us with a little rain. We cooked at home most days and the kitchen has everything, the only drawback being the ice maker not working. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay the week of 10/6. The house worked perfect for us. My only two complaints are: One - the AC/temperature was monitored by smart box/phone & orprogrammed (could not adjust)to 72 degrees. We were all hot throughout the stay. We kept all windows, blinds, curtains and doors closed at all times. The only time the house was somewhat comfortable was from 4:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. Two - Not enough linens. My suggestions to others is to bring your own fans and more linens.

Great home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved having our family in this home. Great location, great neighborhood, we liked the golf carts included and bikes. The only negative I would say is the home had some things that needed fixing. -the grill only worked on one side and took forever to grill for everyone-the fridge and freezer drawers were very difficult to roll in and out - the fridge in laundry room leaked - the mattress on the pull out sofa in master bedroom was horribly thinThose are easy fixes and would make it even better. Minor stuff but great space and it was good having the pool toys and beach supplies there. It would help to add to the listing what the house includes so guests know what they do and don’t need to bring. We would absolutely stay here again! Loved it!

Excellent Home

This vacation home was a great pick. Everyone enjoyed it. The family room was huge and spacious enough for our party of 14. The golf carts that were provided had good speed to them. Lots of beach gear in garage in case anyone forgot theirs. Pool was small but nice for its size. Community pool and park was great but be sure to have your bracelet on. Overall a great vacation and the management were very helpful. The people with xplorie for the activities were great also and very accommodating. It was well stocked with dishes. Only a couple suggestions to make it an even greater place. Locks for some of the doors such as bathrooms. Large parties it would be nice to have a lock to prevent walk ins. Blackout shades for the bedroom windows. Luggage racks on golf carts to help take beach back and forth. Two trash cans for trash pickup

Beautiful Vacation Home

Home was clean, very well stocked, and had plenty of room for our party of 8. The master bed and bath are amazing and we were glad it was on the first floor so my 79 yr old mom did not have to use the steps. Upstairs bedrooms were okay but nothing special. The living room and kitchen were spacious and comfortable. We reported that the TV in the living room did not work (as many before us have) and a third party repair company did show up on the 3rd or 4th day to fix it. The pool is very small and dirty! We cleaned it daily but the filter could not keep up. I understand that this has been a problem for other guest as well. The location is not convenient to the beach so the old slow golf carts are a necessity. Rules for this house are excessive so allow time to read about everything you could be fined for upon arrival. We are not likely to rent this house again.

Family Gathering

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in a nice gated neighborhood with golf carts to help get to the beach, clubhouse, local restaurants and nearby grocery stores. The rooms are adequate sizes. We have all stayed at an VRBO or AIRBNB before so a few things did not meet our expectations such as lack of basic commodities at the house (salt/pepper, oil, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, body soap) were unavailable or not replenished. We preferred VRBO and AIRBNB because we know those items are typically there for convenience and even hotels provide those. The house was not clean when we got there, sand was all over the floor and our feet were black from walking on it. We contacted the rental property and they promptly sent a cleaning crew out the next day to re-clean just the floors and it was fine after that. The pool house patio doors are locked so you can not open it to enjoy the pool from that room, so it makes the room feel a bit stuffy.

Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is large and furnished well. The pictures are true for what is there other than the pool. It is small and has a ledge all the way around it so you can really swim in it. The were limited bath towels which made it difficult and we had to do s lot of laundry because of it. Thete were no dish clothes, dish towels nor wash clothes. We were a large group and cooked most of our meals at the house. One of the dishwashers smelled so we didn't use it, the extra ice maker rarely worked and so of the pans were questionable. It was great to have the extra refrigerator to keep drinks and such on. Probably our biggest issue during our stay was there is only one garage outside garage can and trash is picked up at the beginning of the stay and again at the end. We struggled to get all of the garage bags in the can both times without causing a mess. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot about this property that was perfect but small things like that matter when you are working with a large group of people. Thanks for the great time in zDestin!
