“We had a wonderful stay in San Ignacio at the Babette House. The house and the grounds were beautiful and clean and had all the amenities except access to washer and dryer. Plenty of room for a group of 9. House had everything we needed and what we ran out of we got at the market close by. Maybe needs more towels but not a big problem if you brought your own. She helped us book an amazing tour with Jamal who picked us up for a wonderful jungle pontoon experience, which I highly recommend. She helped us navigate the area with excellent tips on where to go, and what to see. The house itself is AMAZING! The view is even better than the pictures show. “The property was gorgeous and very clean. The outdoor pool with a jungle view was breathtaking. Plenty of space and everything was very modern. “The positive- Clean, spacious house with full kitchen and amazing location. Great AC, hot water, safe for walking to the grocery store or enjoying activities in the city, Clear, friendly commutation with the host. Improvements- I would like to have had seating on the huge veranda or car port to enjoy the outdoors but it is more set up to spend time inside. “Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge……

“The property is a 5-6 minute walk to downtown so easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. This includes Maya Walk so getting there for caving and ruins tours was easy. Far enough away to avoid the noise. Host was responsive. It was a little confusing to get the TV to work so i could watch the Super Bowl but we eventually got there. No regrets. ”
