“The only issue I had is we actually rented another house from this owner and a month before the tournament they told us they were taking it out of the rental for a couple of months. The other house had a bathroom for each couple, which is what I like when I take my girls and their husbands.But the owner gave us the option of this property and it was fine. I personally don’t think they should be allowed to change the reservation so close to the date we were going.”

“We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful and spacious home. The bedrooms were comfortable, we enjoyed the pool and ping-pong tables and spent a lot of time kayaking and floating in the lake. We also brought our little Jon boat. The boat ramp was right across the street and then we docked it at the house. The house stayed really cool despite the terribly hot weather and the kitchen was well stocked. The main space also had a lot of game tables and was much more spacious than we expected.……

“This was the perfect place for our families from GA and CO to meet to explore the Charlotte area. It was a cute home at the end of a pretty side street in a quiet neighborhood. The host was welcoming and prompt with replies. ”

“The place worked for exactly what we needed it for, a comfortable place to stay in between long days of volleyball games. Incredibly convenient to everything we needed and wanted to go to. The fridge was super cute! ”

“Loved the restaurant suggestions, the house was super cute and we would definitely rent it again. I do suggest putting on the listing that it is next to a train track. I personally did not find that as a problem, I slept right through it. But if you're not used to those kinds of noises it can be distracting. This place is great it's within 5 minutes of everything you need. ”

“We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. I messaged Sara about the front porch light and she messaged back immediately “I’ll send someone over to change the front porch light, sorry about that.”The next night we came back and no light. “We really enjoyed our stay at the Restful Retreat! We loved how they had everything labeled so you don’t have to go looking for things. The bed was really comfortable, my husband said it was his best nights sleep he’s had in a year! Kim sent us messages checking in on us to see if there’s anything we needed. It was convenient to Winthrop University and within walking distance to a nice Veterens Garden. It’s also close to restaurants, grocery store. We would stay here again!”
