"Coffee was welcome at 6 am when we checked out! We did not try the breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, beds comfortable. We were confused with TV as it looked like they offered lots of streaming platforms. But when we chose Netflix I was required to sign in with my own acct (which I couldn't get to work so no tv for us), But that was minor as we didn’t care about watching tv. Check-in and out was easy even though we arrived early. We’ve stayed here before and will again."

"Absolutely FABULOUS! This brand new, beautifully decorated small 54-room boutique hotel was such a nice treat. Beautiful artwork, wallpaper, flooring...even the doors and door hardware are wonderful! The attendant at check-in was delightful, and housekeeping was very personable and courteous. The little triangle tea bag setup they provided in the room was perfect, as well as the hot water kettle and coffee pods. Our corner room had a fascinating view of Goat Island and sunset was so pretty. Parking was no problem, and Frank's on Front restaurant was just a few doors down and they were very gracious in getting us a table for dinner that night, which was perfect. All in all, a very delightful stay - I wish we could have stayed one more night! or maybe two more nights?!!! DEFINITELY going back to THE GEORGE!"

"The shower in the right back second floor bathroom needs some work and the exhaust fan doesn’t work. However we really enjoyed the space, view, and we had all we needed. We also had some quick assistance from a VRBO young man on operating the TV. Overall-very nice and might be worth another stay. "
