"This was an emergency stay when the train lines shut down because of heavy rains. This property was across the beautiful lily fields in bloom at the time. One interesting thing about the Akita Castle Hotel is that it is a repository for famous artists and artworks. It has an original Picasso! Access to the airport is easy as there is a local bus which stops at the hotel."

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel as it is in a very convenient location (<5 minutes from the JR station). The staff were nice and we were checked in fairly quickly. There are 4 laundry machines for this hotel to be used by the guests and we did not experience any long wait times. The only thing I was not a fan of were the pillows as they were kind of hard and not comfortable to sleep on. "
