“A beautiful location with a nice view of the ocean to the north out the living room window. The process of getting into the house was straightforward, although be aware that the entrance was the second door (with the padlock). Also: The roosters say “good morning!””

“It rained the day we arrived and when we got there, the whole kitchen and living room were flooded and the rug was soaked for the whole 7 day trip so the whole house stunk of mildew the entire trip. We woke up sick every morning from breathing in the nasty air all night. I dont know if someone left the front door open allowing the rain water to come in during the storm but we would’ve enjoyed our trip better if we didn’t get sick every time we were in the house. “We spent five days at the beginning of May 2026 in this condo and couldn’t ask for a better spot for our first trip to St. Thomas! Perfect location ..close to Red Hook for shops and the ferry. Nice balcony for watching the sunrise and coffee. Pool was refreshing and maintained regularly. Local restaurant / bar, Sudi’s, located in the lower level of building. Provides laid back island vibes with great drinks and delicious food. Host was accommodating and responsive when needed. Would definitely……

“Property was a bit “tired” but restaurants on site were great”

“Pro:The view was spectacular with plenty of space for a large group. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals.FYI: The property is in need of some TLC. Be advised that although the villa sleeps 14, you will be charged 100 per day for each person after 12. We had to adjust our group size after we were informed. Transportation is available although the vehicle seats only 4. It is advised to rent a vehicle for your group.”

“There were many problems here. Plywood laying on my balcony. Dirt on walls. Every door is rotted at the bottom and they have dirt all around the door handles. The outside area looked like it hadn’t been trimmed. The funny part. Not really funny but they sent someone to pick up the plywood on the balcony and the guy came into our unit with the code and without knocking while we were in bed. “Our stay at The Captain and the Mermaid was great. Communication with Michael was the best I’ve ever had. He was prompt and very helpful each time. The condo had beautiful views from the windows. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed. So nice to have beach towels and beach chairs. A pool right near us. If you don’t have a car you need to not mind hiking up and down to get to beach. Restaurants near condo were all great. ”
