Town of Fowler Holiday Rentals

"The apartment was pretty nice and spacious and the marina is a very relaxing environment. Whitney was a pleasant host but very busy and not really responsive except for the fact that she was sometimes working in a neighboring cabin and we approached her. The kitchen was okay but not the best equipped and our dishwasher was not working. They had two very nice new queen mattresses and we slept well. There was only one AC unit and it was in the living room. Wifi was downright horrendous and I often got better connectivity by using my phone as a hotspot. Cellular signal was weak but at least it was stable. The TV had no issues with A/V so I don't know how they were streaming. We never got the right key for the door and never could lock up when we left. Whitney said she looked for it but she never found it. I do think there are some things that should be focused on safety-wise. One duplex outlet in the living room has no face plate on it and a child could easily be electrocuted. Also, two windows in our bedroom did not have counterbalances and needed to be propped up. Very nasty if it fell onto your or a child's arm/hand. Those are easy to fix. A few changes could easily rate a much higher rating."

"My family and I stayed here for a four day weekend and could not say enough great things about the home, the lake and the communication from the owner, Ken. He had fantastic recommendations and went out of his way to make our trip perfect and our celebrations extra special. We enjoyed all the wildlife and the fishing is excellent. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay, look no further, you will not be disappointed. "

"George was a wonderful host! He was finishing up the yard work as we arrived, he graciously let us check in a few hours early as he had no guests the day prior. Very friendly and respectful. The home had everything we needed, was very clean aside from some dusty spots I wouldn’t have even noticed if it weren’t for my restless toddlers, and had a truly wonderful yard we were happy to run around in. Beds were comfy, AC was cold.. he even left a little toy for my son. 10/10"

"Our family of 5 stayed for 4 nights with our golden retriever. Such a beautiful setting and very peaceful. We really enjoyed the pontoon boat and boat house. We swam in the lake every day. Highly recommend checking out the Rainbow Falls trail and Lampson Falls trail nearby. The host was very responsive and helpful. The place was clean and beds were comfy. "

"Didn't catch any fish but my husband and I had a great stay for our 11th anniversary. Some much needed quiet. The bar up the road is full of great people, there's tons of trails for side by sides or trucks, all in all a really nice property."

"We stayed a week and loved everything about the Hosts and cabin. Very clean and very accommodating . If you forgot to bring it, Dawn probably already has is there for you. Water, snacks, coffee, storage bags, you name it. They check in to make sure everything is ok, even give you places to try fishing. They truly are the best hosts we have ever had. I highly recommend a stay at their cabin. Water access is just a few steps away. "
