Restored Cottage with all the amenities nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood with a nearby walking trail and park. Newly-renovated 3 bedrooms with queen-sized beds, 2 bathrooms, quaint kitchen & dining room, modern appliances, washer/dryer, covered outside seating area and long driveway. It is located 13 minutes away from the Airport with easy access to the French Quarters and surrounding attractions. Come enjoy the natural beauty of the Bayou and the culinary genius of the Creole cuisine! This dwelling is 1,258 sq living feet with the dimensions of the rooms shown on the schematic in the pictures.

Very nice place. Everything needed was provided plus a coffee bar and small snacks (a very nice touch). There was an industrial site nearby that did provide noise, otherwise a very quiet neighborhood. Beds were very firm, but the living room was comfortable and the TV was a large size. Owner was great to work with, he came over to introduce himself the first day. He was super responsive to communication and quickly responded to the one minor issue we had cone up.

Modern appointments in vintage charm

The place was extremely well appointed. The dishes, linens and decor was all top-of-the-line. In fact, I have to say I have never stayed anywhere that had a diffuser on the blow dryer in the bathroom and I always need one for my curly hair so thank you for that extra thoughtfulness! They left us small things like coffee pods, laundry soap and even plastic bags and half-and-half. It was very well stocked and super clean! The only reason I didn’t give this a five star was the location was a little bit offputting. it’s in the center of an industrial area so if you would like to take a walk or run in the morning, this location would not really be aesthetically pleasing. The neighborhood is so so. The house next-door is rundown. But I didn’t feel unsafe because it seems like a lot of great people live around there. Destrehan itself is a friendly community and we really enjoyed everyone we met. I would say the only thing I would change is the beds are a little hard maybe put a mattress topper on it to give it a little more softness. Walter was very responsive overall it was wonderful. Great place if you have a family and the bathtub was just extraordinary. It’s a nice deep soaking tub. Would stay there again if ever in NOLA.

Cute, cozy and comfortable!

This house was perfect. Very clean and comfortable and spacious. We were 4 adults, visiting Laura plantation and World War 2 museum and found this property perfectly located in between. Walter thought of everything- home is very well furnished and supplied with all needs. It's just as nice as the photos. We enjoyed a great restaurant just down the street. The power went out only for a couple hours with some weather and Walter was kind to check in on us, he even had a Handy flashlight in the closet. We will definitely stay again!

Grandmother, mother, wife

Family getaway to New Orleans! My husband and daughter’s first time to the Big Easy with 4 adults, an infant, and our dog. It was the perfect place outside of the city, but still close enough to make a couple of trips a day to the French Quarter. The house had everything we needed, including a yard for our dog, and the host was attentive and available at a moments notice! The neighbors were also welcoming and the area was quiet! We will definitely be back!
