Lovely home. Book it.
We booked this home for a cousin's reunion during NFL Draft week. This house had everything we needed. Location is perfect, easy on and off the freeway. We enjoyed the backyard and fire pit. Traffic makes it a little loud, but the yard is fenced in and private. Lots of space in the home and beautifuly decorated. We had a great time and the host was great too. Book it. You won't regret it.

Great place & stellar host!
The house was fantastic. It more that met all of our needs. It was clean and lots of really nice touches. Plenty of towels, blankets and everything you’d need for your stay. A beautiful home. Colby was a great host. Super communicative and was flexible on check-in and check-out times and the check-out process was as easy as I’ve experienced. Highly recommend this property.

Great house for family
We stayed at the Pleasant Ridge property over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was very comfortable for our family of eight and exceeded our expectations. Colby was a wonderful host and we hope to return some day.

Perfect place to stay!
House was clean and beautiful! Plenty of space for everyone. Location was amazing! Stayed for a bachelorette party and we were able to walk into downtown royal oak or grab a quick Uber ride. Would highly recommend! Colby was accommodating and wonderful to communicate with. Truly have nothing negative to say!

Very nice house in a beautiful neighborhood close to the Detroit Zoo and Royal Oak. Near most everything you want to see in Detroit. The house is great for a family experience.

Stunning place
My girls and I needed a place to get ready the day of for my wedding and this was the perfect place. House was just gorgeous so it made it perfect for our getting ready photos. Beds were extremely comfortable, and having 3 bathrooms was a plus, as you know how long girls take to get ready. The place was so clean, spacious and had everything you need. I would give this place 10 stars if I could but 5 is the max.

Large family home close to Detroit zoo
We had a fun stay with three sets of couples and kids over the July fourth week at Colby’s house. There were lots of pros to the home including: Close to amenities and walking distance to Detroit zoo. Large living areas and modern kitchen Nice neighborhood with kid-friendly park a short walk away Working AC and lots of fans There were a few cons: The home has been recently renovated and not all finished (some tiles loose, a few door handles not on, including the door down to the basement) Some may find the open staircase/lack of banisters a no-go with little kids The host Colby was a great communicator. He was responsive to our needs - for example, when we mentioned the lack of baby safety gates for the stairs and basement he went right out and bought some for the home. Overall a lovely spot, nice house and good find in Detroit.

Just as expected… perfect
Excellent space for our family while in town for a wedding. Three adult sons and their spouses/significant others. Plenty of bathroom space and loved the backyard as well. Cool restaurants nearby. Great trip.

Great place/location for family to stay
The picture depicts the home in a realistic way. My family was in Detroit to attend our mother's funeral. This was the first time our grown daughters and their family were together since 2014. We wanted to stay together and not in a hotel environment. It was a blessed stay. Thank you for having everything in place and in order. The master bath is fantastic and location is ideal. We will definitely stay there again.

Fun Weekend
My friends and I had a great stay at this property. It was close enough to Detroit that we could do activities out there without a long drive back. It was also a hop & skip away from downtown Royal Oak. Everything was as advertised and Colby was great at communicating! Would definitely recommend this location to others looking to stay in the metro-Detroit area!

We enjoyed meeting up with family to celebrate a holiday. Plenty of room at the table for our party of 6 plus dinner guests, spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, sparkling baths, and large-screen TV. Great backyard patio and fireplace, which we'd use in a warmer month. We enjoyed neighborhood walks and nearby restaurants, bakeries, and retail. We appreciated Colby's instant responses to questions. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay with multi-generation family
Spacious, comfortable, newly updated throughout. Great to have a back yard to enjoy being outside and loved sitting on front porch. Nice neighborhood, walking distance to nice park/playground/dog park. Surrounding neighborhood lovely. Convenient access to highways, the noise mentioned in other reviews was really not a problem.

In full disclosure this was our very first VRBO rental and it went above and beyond all of our expectations. It was a beautiful home and very well maintained and clean. Colby, the owner, was absolutely amazing with recommendations and was very quick to respond. He really made it feel like home. It was also perfectly located in a quiet and safe neighborhood but also super close to so many fantastic coffee shops and restaurants. We cannot say enough good things and I would recommend this home to anyone! It will not disappoint!

The house was very clean, close to our all of our destinations and provided ample space for a family of 5. Lots of new renovations. Owner was easy to communicate with. My only knock was the highway noise at night, which was remedied with one of the portable fans provided in the bedrooms.

Great Host, Great House, but needs some work
We had a great stay at the house. Colby had great communication and was very accommodating. Some parts of the house are still under renovation (front deck, basement) and there are some things that need repair (fridge ice/water, master toilet). Drawers/cabinets have a hodgepodge of random things that could be cleaned up a bit. Firepit was great, though had to request some wood and ended up buying some on our own. House is near expressway, which wasn't clear when originally booking. But overall great house for larger group visiting Detroit area.

Nice house - needs a little work
The house has been recently renovated and looks exactly like the photos. The furnishings and decor are very nice, but there were several maintenance issues. The fridge light doesn't work, the ice/water dispenser doesn't work, and some of the food we put in the fridge ended up frozen. The oven temperature is off and needs to be calibrated. The toilet in the master bathroom shrieks when it is flushed. Also, the owner told us he left wood for the fire pit, but there was no wood. The other bizarre thing is that there was a vase of half-dead flowers on the dining room table and completely dead greenery in a vase of brown water in the master bath, so there was an air of neglect. The neighborhood itself is quiet and safe, but the house is about 1 block off a major freeway and an intersection with a light, so there is quite a lot of traffic noise - and on weekend nights it went on until the early morning hours. The master bedroom is on that side of the house, too, so the motorcycles racing down the road made it difficult for me to fall asleep. Check in is easy and the owner does respond quickly when he is messaged. Overall it isn't a bad place to stay but I thought it was somewhat overpriced based on our experience.

I had 10 family members coming from out of town for my daughter's baby shower. The ages ranged from 11 - 80 years old and everyone was very comfortable. The backyard was great! We hung out in the back in the evenings. There is a fire pit and lights and we brought cornhole over too! The location is so close to both Royal Oak and Ferndale. It's a very busy area but the street the house is located on is very quiet with nice neighbors. We also went downtown Detroit for dinner one night, which only about 15 miles. The owner was also very responsive if we needed anything or had any questions about the house! Great Place :)

Nice Venue!!
Awesome place to Entertain a guest Or two. My long time best friend came to town with her new husband and because we didn’t want to go out due to covid so we figured this would be best. We prepared our dinner, played our music while maintaining low noise due to respect for the surrounding community. We had an awesome time and the space made it all that more special!!! Communication with the owner was very easy! We had some concerns but the host was more than ready and willing to accommodate!
