“Bright friendly welcome with tea and biscuits. The gardens are extensive and lots to interest. The house feels like a medieval manor although is C19 Tudor revival. The bedroom had everything needed and mercifully no television, was clean and welcoming. Al in all a lovely stay with a lovely host.”

“Decent accommodation in a beautiful village on Exmoor. The bed was comfortable and the full English breakfast very good as well. I had no problem parking just outside on the street. I liked the feeling of staying in a family-run hotel and they were all friendly and helpful. Would return!”

“We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay.……

“A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay.”

“Conveniently situated only 5 minutes drive from my first appointment of the following day, I got checked in with a warm reception from the staff. I have stayed there twice before so had an idea of what to expect. I had one of the external ground floor rooms which made it easier to go back and forth to the car park. Having dines there previously, I did so again and was well looked after with some sumptious food provided for a very reasonable cost. The room itself was spacious, clean and provided……

“This hotel was phenomenal.The check in person so was good.Gave lots of advice.Breakfast and dinner are available.The room was so cozy and gave amenties like water,sweets and biscuit.The room was very clean.The room had laminated pamphlets sheets of information about breakfast,bus times,Thoverton and Exeter town information etc.There is a pub below the rooms which is quite busy in the evenings to nights.This place is well taken care of and they take care of their guests.It is an exceptional place……
