First and foremost - BEAUTIFUL VIEWS!!! Huge windows looking out over the world. We all met to celebrate my late husband's life, and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful view and deck to sit and remember.
I have added a few comments to make the room assignments and pre-arrival packing a bit easier:
- Dining room table tightly seats 8. We could have squeezed 2 more in if we'd thought of rotating the table 90° and putting 2 people on the end corners.
- 2nd bedroom on main floor doesn’t have access to a bathroom, must share master bath, which requires coordinations and close living.
- Downstairs area really lives well with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and family room. It is noisy, if anyone is walking or talking on the main floor. We might have put the baby and her parents on main floor if we'd known that.
- Upstairs bedroom is the quietest room in the house, if that is important.
- If you are visiting in the winter, be sure to have at least 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway. We ended up chipping ice and salting in order to walk to the cars.
I gave this house a 4 because of some maintenance issues (snow removal among them), the lack of bathroom access to the 2nd bedroom on the main floor (couldn't flush the toilet in the powder room after the children went to sleep, and noise. Otherwise, we really enjoyed ourselves and had plenty of space to spread out.
