"Ours was a quick overnight stay while visiting relatives. The pub was busy with a bingo night in a separate room when we arrived, but our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. To save going our for a meal we ate in and the food was good pub grub served by a friendly member of staff. The bar was still busy but had a friendly vibe. Our room was spotless. There was a good choice of breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed our brief stay. If we had been tourists I think the offer of some more local information would have been welcome - maps, local guides etc as Diss seems to be an interesting place in its own right. We took a walk around the mere in the morning before driving home and it was very attractive. The hotel would make a good base for touring the area."

Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort

"Stunning building, rooms a bit tired and dated but beds comfy and everything clean. Bathroom basic. For the price breakfast was good and great to have access to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna at anytime with free towels. Overall not the fanciest, most boutique place to stay (apart from the outside of the main building) but good value for the price and staff all very friendly. Grounds beautiful too. Didn't have dinner but friends did and they said food very good. Bar area also very nice."
