Abraham Lake is located alongside the David Thompson Highway between Saskatchewan Crossing and Nordegg, Alberta. In summertime, this artificial lake is a stunning blue-green color which makes for some amazing photo opportunities. There is often a herd of bighorn sheep right along the highway too. However, mid-winter is when this location really shines! When the lake freezes over, methane bubbles become trapped in the ice, which you can walk or even skate on. You can see right to the bottom. Ever walked on a bubbly, crystal-clear lake? It's a surreal experience and definitely worth checking out. #OnTheRoad
The hamlet of Nordegg, Alberta, was a former coal-mining town and named after Martin Nordegg and the name probably means “North Corner” in a German dialect. (June 2019) #MyBackyard

It was well taken care of and we appreciated the staff. The fan in our bathroom didnt work very well but at least we could open a window after the 4 of us showered. And we found it noisy but understand alot of workers stay there. (Noisy at 2:00am and then understandable at 5:30am doors closing)
