High end stay!

A group of guys came up to go snowmobiling and it was great to come off the trails to a nice place to stay at night. Will definitely stay again!

Cabin Relaxin

The cabin was perfect and very nice! Owners Dan and Sandy made sure to be available and accomodating if we needed anything during our Holiday stay over Thanksgiving. The views of the bay were amazing! Will definitely be back!

Amazing stay!

Sandy was fantastic! She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The house and property were perfect! Plenty of space for the whole family! So grateful to have found this place! We were also able to experience the Bridgefest celebration. That was a treat- adorable town with lots to do!

Snowmobiling Trip

Great property for multiple families plenty of space great access to facilities including food gas and rental for snowmobiles. We had a family get together with nine of us and the property was awesome. Would highly recommend to anyone, And would definitely stay here again.

Perfect home for large gathering

Beautiful lake home in the UP! The house is amazing- perfectly stocked with high end appliances and everything you need for a fabulous vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed the water front area though it is a shared space. Highly recommend this house!

Beautiful home with lots of space!

This house had absolutely everything you could need for a vacation. Every room was extremely thought out and well prepared. The owner, Sandy was amazingly responsive and courteous. She made us feel right at home. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone wanting a high-end stay in the UP. The home is stunning, and nothing can beat waking up and staring at the sparkling lake.

Great place with lots of room and beauty

We gathered for a family wedding! We wanted to be together rather than separate hotel rooms. We still all had our own room/space but we got to share lots of time togeher. It's a great space for a big group. And Sandy couldn't have been nicer about communicating and answering our questions! We'd love to come back!!

Beautiful well kept home in private setting, close to water

We have stayed at this home twice and enjoyed it thoroughly both times. The large family room is great for our group and since we have adults and children having a second sitting area downstairs was wonderful. The setting is beautiful and the house is well equipped. The owners were available and helpful when questions arose during our stay. Our only suggestions are: a new grill is needed, better wifi as the connection is sporadic though that may be the location itself and not the fault of the owners.

The Perfect Send Off Retreat!

This was such a wonderful experience for our family to send off our incoming college freshmen at Michigan Tech. The accommodations were wonderful and the pavilion area is just spectacular with fun activities to keep everyone busy like kayaking, paddle boarding, sitting by the fire or cooking up a gourmet feast in the well appointed and beautiful kitchen. We shared it with another group we didn’t know and there was room for all. A wonderful experience! Thanks Sandy!

Beautiful place

Huge house with a ton of space, felt high quality and cared for, very comfortable. It’s technically across the street from the water, but has an excellent view with a big flat yard for games, lots of outdoor seating. Host was very responsive and accommodating. The patio/pavilion by the water also has a ton of space and seating. Very cool view of the portage. It’s a shared space between another rental unit but we had the space to ourselves and never saw anyone else. It’s an outdoor space by the water so, there’s spiders/webs but that’s expected and unavoidable. Overall great place, my family and I really enjoyed our time there

Great property close to downtown Houghton

Great property on the water with a huge yard to play in. Appliances were brand new and high quality. We appreciated that there wer kid-friendly, plastic dishes in addition to the nice dishware for the adults. There is a grill on the deck along with plenty of seating outdoors, or you can grill at their waterfront kitchen which also has a lot of seating for a large group. Two sets of laundry machines between upstairs and downstairs. Water pressure and heat were great in the showers. TVs had plenty of programs to choose from or you could log into your digital streaming platforms. The owner was quick to respond to communications. The house was only about a 10 minute drive to Houghton and Hancock and about 10-15 minutes to Hungarian Falls and Douglass Houghton Falls. Overall, great stay!

MI Tech Graduation Celebration with family

This was the perfect place to stay for our family. Lots of room for everyone to play, gather, eat, visit until the early hours, laugh, and celebrate. We were close enough to get to the college, access sledding hills, and hike to beautiful waterfalls. This cozy home was stocked with so many things that made our stay extra special. Thank you so much Karen! We love the UP. Hope to stay with you again!

Overall a wonderful stay!

Overall a great stay at the property. We had a large group of adults (15) and there was enough space for everyone. We saw a different review suggesting to bring an air mattress as the master bedroom closet could potentially be used as another bedroom and we’re glad we did. I wouldn’t recommend the fold out couches for adults. The location was great, house was clean and the owner that greeted us upon arrival was very friendly. Lots of trailer parking which was a huge plus for our group. All in all we would stay again but with a smaller group to ensure everyone has an actual bed.

Great base for MTBing in the UP

Been renting properties for large groups for last 20 years, this property and the adjoining property were the nicest we have ever experienced. That along with the use of the lakeside pavilion and fire pit made this property top notch.

Large, nice home.

Great house to stay in as a big group. Owners are very strict on rules which helps make the house stay in nice condition. All extra amenities were available and very nice property. We enjoyed our snowmobile trip to Dollar Bay and will return for sure. Reminder to bring an air mattress for the master closet as it is huge and can be another bedroom. Thanks for hosting Kemp’s!

Amazing Place for a Snowmobile Group

We rented the house and barn for a group of 18. Everyone loved it. Sandy and her husband were great to work & communicate with. Both properties were first class! We already booked for next year.
