Kostas and Zeta were the perfect hosts, available when you needed some help or advice but allowing you to get on with your holiday as you wanted.
The house is perfect for two families sharing and very well equipped. A great kitchen for cooking at home and a decent sized fridge/freezer means you can stock up for the week. The bedrooms are finished to a high standard and most importantly have comfortable beds and air-conditioning in two of them. There are two good sized bathrooms with really powerful showers and unlimited hot water. The grounds have a lovely outside eating area that's well shaded at the side of the house and a super gas bbq means outdoor cooking was a breeze. We simply loved the house, it really worked.
The beach is at the end of the garden (across a small paved road that provides car access to the beach front properties) and it's truly beautiful, with crystal clear waters that are safe for kids with some fantastic views over the bay. It really was a stunning location. The house has good quality sun-loungers, beach chairs and umbrella that you can take out onto the beach, which means it's all very comfortable.
There are a couple of great beach bars/cafes on the bay a few minutes walk from the property and some good restaurants in the next village, about 30 mins walk along the beach front, which means you can ditch the car and not worry about driving. Despite the local bars everything was very quiet at night as things tended to shutdown by 11pm and it was a very 'local' scene with very few tourists.
For those of you who may be concerned with sharing the property with the owners, don't be. Firstly, as I said, they are the perfect hosts and secondly their apartment is on an upper floor to the rear of the property, which means the house is separated.
