Stay at "Great Vies"

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this property very much for our family vacation. A big plus is the small beach area at the edge of the water. Kitchen was well stocked and having 2 refrigerators was a big help.

Love the location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have never stayed past Duncan Marina but this property was perfect. The location on the lake was awesome, a lot of room for tubing and kneeboarding. The house is beautiful with plenty of room. I just wish the elevator worked because we had one kid on crutches. We will be back in 2 weeks, can’t wait.

Great Views is a excellent name for this home.

We have stayed here 4 times and each time we say it can’t get any better. But it does. We love it here and plan to book soon for another great views vacay.

Summer vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fun, fun!! The house was in a perfect location, the name is spot on. Kitchen supplies were skimpy, not enough forks!! Would like to know in advance about small appliances I.e. blender, griddle, crockpot. Great being close to the little park area and boat launch ramp. Oh yeah, bottom floor needs damp rid or dehumidifier, kinds musty, and no exhaust fans in the bathrooms doesn’t help. However it was an awesome week with my children and grands!!!

Great view, but dirty!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has a wonderful layout and a great view, but it is very dated. There were cobwebs and thick dust on many surfaces. Cabinet knobs were sticky and there was visible evidence the floors were not properly swept or mopped. We alerted the manager and he immediately sent someone. Sadly, she wasn’t too excited to fix her mistakes. The mildew smell in the basement made guests sick and the green film in the upstairs shower was gross. Though the actual property was pretty, I don’t think I’d choose this house again.

Great property that lacks cleanliness.

Location, property, and view was great. However it was not clean. Spider webs inside and rat droppings in cabinet drawer in kitchen. Luke warm water in the main floor bedroom shower. Faucets leaks in the kitchen. Tiles in kitchen are broken and loose. It was a pleasant surprise to find an extra refrigerator in the wash room and a small one down stairs that were not shown on website. I would stay here again if I knew things listed above were taken care of.

Mixed Review – Pro’s 1. Beautiful View 2. Large house – plenty of room for our 14 people 3. Well stocked kitchen – bring your own spices like sugar 4. Elevator was great 5. Dock was great 6. cleaning was good except for Cons listed below Con’s 1. Trash in drawers and stashed other places behind things 2. Wet paper towels stashed with extra bedding – we could not use when needed 3. No bedding for futons 4. A/C quit working overnight – did have someone out to fix next afternoon– but we had to go to Walmart to buy fans for main floor that night 5. missing 3 trash cans in bathrooms – we had to go to walmart and buy new 6. had 5 sets towels for 14 people – we bought new then found the other ones in the dryer 7. Fridge had strong odor of fish 8. Fridge still had some groceries from the last person there 9. Drawers still had clothing from last person there 10. Walmart closest store and takes 32-40 minutes to get there – we lost a lot of time buying essentials above 11. Front bedroom has no fan and was very hot – told that house has a/c limit of 70 degrees While we liked the house, yard, boat dock, the cons and all the trips to walmart were a time sucker. With an extra hour of cleaning, most of this would not have been an issue. As it was, we just kept finding the next thing wrong which was difficult.

Pace People

The house was excellent for our family size. However, there were some security issues--the stacked tiles going down to the water were unstable. Also, railing was loose is several places. The sand bar was lots of fun for our 2 year old great-granddaughter. Inside, there were lots of broken tiles on the floor. The ice maker could not make enough ice for drinks much less taking on the boat. I have bad knees so the elevator was a God send!! Overall, I would rent the location again.

Overall stay was good. Property could have been cleaner

We had a great stay at this property. It was nice to have two spots for boats at the dock and the amenities were great. The property could have been a little cleaner: there was mold in some places and a musty smell upon arrival.

Awesome weekend!

It was an awesome weekend with 4 families reconnecting on the water! The house was big enough and provided some sweet opportunities to chill and enjoy each other’s company! The house is in need of some TLC……basic repair opportunities abound, but if you are with a group that doesn’t get hung up in the “little thing”, you’ll love it just like we did. Neighborhood is VERY quiet and peaceful. Even with lake down 9 ft for damn repairs, and storms rolling through regularly, we figured out how to enjoy the water and made it work!

Awesome getaway!

The photos of this house on your site do not do this location justice. Beautiful view of Smith Lake, large back deck and dock to drop a fishing line. Bedrooms and kitchen were spacious. We will be back.
