“The modern kitchen, beautiful grounds and historic stairways and rooms were so clean and comfortable for us. I was impressed because it’s not easy to keep such an old property in such a clean condition! I even had a bath one night. We loved exploring the woods and small stream around the house as well as getting out to other spots around Scotland. The house was out of the way but easily accessible even for those used to driving on the other side of the road! Loved our time here. Only downside……

“Die Unterkunft ist sehr hochwertig ausgestattet und ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Von hier hat man einen idealen Ausgangspunkt nach Stirling und Edinghburgh und kehrt anschließend in eine herrliche Idylle zurück. Die Gastgeber sind sehr warmherzig und offen und haben uns wertvolle Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt und unsere Ausflüge gegeben. Zudem wurden wir mit Milch, Toast, Butter und Schokolade begrüßt.Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.Lars, Dagmar, Mathis und Hannes K.”

“Just had a three night stay here and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. A good location for visiting Edinburgh and Stirling although plenty to do in the local area as well. The host Lorna was very close by and the local pub being next door also helped. Would highly recommend and will visit again for sure. ”

“Lovely property with nice indoor and outdoor areas including hot tub. Cottage is semi detached so you have others directly through the fence if both in the garden (may be useful to know if you are taking dogs that would bark at this). Host very helpful.The only issue we had was with the decoration package purchased for 49. We received a reusable neon sign outdoor and a few blown up balloons and a banner in the living room which we did not find worth the money paid but a nice touch for our friend……

“The house was gorgeous and very comfortable. We did have to download an app to get a precise location which was unexpected, but easy enough to use. The beds were very comfortable and the location beautiful. If you are looking for a rural retreat in order to explore the beautiful scenery, it's a wonderful choice! Word of warning: careful with the upstairs windows as flies like to congregate on them!”
