All in all a wonderful place to stay not far from Portugal Spanish border. Listing did not say that whilst it was off a listed road it was not now the main road so was quiet.Hotel refurbished a year or so ago and is popular with locals always a good sign ”

“From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful home. The home is cozy, clean and welcoming. I felt comfortable walking through the home and enjoying the shared areas. “We traveled to Fermiselle to trace my family roots as my great grandfather immigrated to Cuba from there in the 1920’s. To say that the manager was accommodating would be an understatement. “We chose this for an overnight stop, with our pet furry friend, on our way from Santander to Portuguese Silver Coast. Pet friendly and self-catering appealed to us. The communication and the welcome to the lovely property, from Sandra, was exceptional. She went out of her way to show us the accommodation and walk us through the pretty village to the local restaurant, telling us a little about the place as we went. “I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. “A simple and basic stopover but worked Ok for us. We were able to park motorbike around the side of the hotel and it felt safe. We walked into town and found a nice friendly restaurant with lovely local food, excellent value. It was a served breakfast, simple but very nice, in particular wonderful warm bread.”
